Sacramento Kings off-season thread

Came down to Stauskas and Payton.  Vonleh probably wasn't even on their draft boards because they though he'd be gone

What are you guys planning on doing with McLemore now? Neither him or Stauskas are playing point or small forward.

might need to pick up a Stauskas jersey

was thinking same thing earlier

Pizza guy's rep getting calls about him from lots of teams during the opening hour of free agency

One of the teams that called was the celtics... Possible sign and trade with rondo? :nerd:

I was listening to Carmichael Dave on the way to work and he pointed out an eye opening stat. I know rondo's been hurt the last few seasons but his games played went 68, 53, 38, and 30 over the last 4 years and he's only getting older. If we were to trade for him I wouldn't want any picks involved.

pizza guy has a 3 year $24 million deal on the table with the pistons. Offer sheet won't be signed until Lowry decides what he's going to do :nerd:

If it was between matching that deal on the table.......

Or go into next season with say, Shaun Livingston as our starting PG.....

I would rather the Kings match 3 yrs $24 mil :nerd: :\

I like Livingston though, health is my primary concern with him. With us grooming Ray, he'll have to play heavy minutes which is going to be an issue for him

Looks like Livingston is headed to the GSW...

Good news I guess. Hopefully it doesn't make the Kings too aggressive in resigning IT (which by all accounts, they have set the offer pretty low).

And rather we focus our energy in S+T or acquiring a stud level PG

dodged a bullet

I really don't think the Kings will have to pay that much to keep Thomas. It's just a matter of if his ego can allow him to be 6th man when the Kings get a more legit pass first PG....

But the only offer IT reportedly got so far was the Detroit one, which wasn't even outrageously expensive, but look at how Detroit is throwing money around....  They payed Meeks 20mil

so idk if there is any other team out there about to throw as much at IT as Detroit was reportedly offering

I hope Stauskas' offensive game translates to the NBA because my god he can shoot

And more importantly, he can run the pick n roll and he is a solid passer
