Going to India for a week, what should I expect???

Get ready for random people to hop in your pictures.

Also, make sure you take a swim in the Ganges.

based off the posts in here...

India sounds like it sucks, bro.

Sorry. :frown:

So because travelers have to be careful when they visit India is the reason why "They're coming here"?

Nah b, thats the way of life in India.

Indians come here for more opportunities, just like any other group of people coming to America.

it was an ignorant thing to say..
Nah b it sounds like its terrible to even go visit there.
Get over it

LOL @ India having a  "lil bit" of classism.........that **** runs rampant there

How ignorant and misinformed are you? India is a vast and beautiful country with many locations that cater to those who seek immense spirituality as well as an active nightlife with great restaurants, bars, and festivals for entertainment seekers.

I go to India every summer due to business/real estate over there and I still haven't seen all the country has to offer. Whenever I go I try and soak in the cultural experience as best I can, through trips to various religious sights, such as buddhist monasteries on the border of Kashmir, the sacred Ganges river or even along the footpath of India Gate.

The country offers endless things for tourists to do, and the sheer activity of main cities such as Delhi or Mumbai are something worth immersing yourself in. And currently the indian rupee is at record lows, so your dollar will stretch further than ever.

Ya it's funny cause it seems like its the complete opposite for my Indian homies or Indian males in general. My Indian buddies WORSHIP white women. Like, it's some sort of trophy to have slayed a white broad.

And going to strip clubs with Indian homies = LOLZ. Dudes make it rain when a blonde hair blue eyed stripper gets on but will split the cab ride home with you down to the penny.
so do asians, mexicans, and some brothers, too...

it aint just them, famb...

Yeah you're just ignorant.

Probably will never even leave the city where you're born, b.

Millions of people go there, say it's a beautiful place, but you say its terrible..

@#(@((# ignorant..

Broaden your horizons if you ever wanna be successful..

Did 5 weeks in India for work earlier this year. Def an experience. Like everyone says, don't drink the water and don't eat street food. Find a cool, young Indian person and get them to take you to cafe Zoe(you won't find it without a local). Great place. It's near a place called blue frog (I think)

Dude, you're misusing the word "ignorant". Ignorant is when someone would assume just because you have ****** eyes that you're Chinese or if you're Muslim that means you're automatically Arab or if you're Indian and you smell like curry. In this case it seems to be more of a matter of opinion. I would say calling someone out on their opinion is a waste of breath. Relax, "b" and woosaa.

The Hell kind of shots are required?
Vaccines for India

Here are vaccines you may need for travel to India:

Hepatitis A. This disease can be transmitted through food and water. The risk for Hepatitis A in India is high. So immunization is highly recommended.

Hepatitis B. There is an intermediate risk for hepatitis B in India. Hepatitis B is a viral infection that can be transmitted by contact with blood and other bodily fluids. That means you could potentially be exposed through:

sexual activity
recreational drug use
being in an accident
receiving medical care
If you haven't been vaccinated for it already, you should get the vaccine before you go.

Typhoid fever. Typhoid fever is a life-threatening illness. It's caused by bacteria. You can get typhoid fever by eating or drinking contaminated food or water.

It's recommended that anyone traveling in southern Asia, including India, be vaccinated against it. This is especially important if you will be visiting rural areas or staying in small towns.

Japanese encephalitis. India is a high-risk area for this viral disease. It is transmitted by the bite of a mosquito. The disease is potentially fatal.

Yellow fever. Yellow fever is transmitted by mosquito bite. It's not a major concern for people traveling in India. You may not need to get the vaccine before you go.

But it's important to know that when you get to India you may be asked to show proof of yellow fever vaccination if you visited a country with risk of yellow fever before your arrival in India.

Without that proof, you may be quarantined for up to six days when you first arrive. Yellow fever is mostly found in tropical and subtropical countries in Central America, South America, and Africa.

Lol, good luck with that. That's like saying you want a Swedish girl who can cook you Greek food.

Seriously, you need to educate yourself. Indians and Middle Eastern people are so different that I hate how people mix up the two. There's really no excuse. It's freaking 2013.

For example, the man right below is a former Indian president.

And the guy below here is a Middle Eastern person

The girl below is Indian

The girl below is Middle Eastern:

Not that hard to tell the difference imo.

Mumbai is fun man. Check out Juhu Beach, Santa Cruz West, Bandra, Malabar Hill areas of the city if you're looking to step away from the poverty. Usually the west side of every section of the city are the higher end. Hit up the Marriot (seriously) if you wanna party with the hot rich girls in the city. Restaurants aren't too expensive but partying will set you back about as much as it would in NY. You should've probably already started your Malaria medication if you're going. Don't eat street meats but definitely try a Frankie. You can get EXCELLENT clothing tailored to fit within the week you're there so if you want to grab clothes make sure you check it out. It's pretty cheap and the quality is amazing. Other than that, just enjoy.
