The Official Flightposite 2014 Thread Vol. Carbons, H20, Possible Coppers

Someone I know posted coppers on IG yesterday. Same problem persists, so I don't care. Now they slapped prm on these? FOH. I know some might like the coppers but they're still a gimmick to me Nike is trying to milk. No go for me

and the sole thing? its terrible and tragic at the same time. the medial side of the shoe looks horrendous.

I agree with this wholeheartedly. Carbon FP1s were like an ultimate grail for a lot of heads, and it wouldn't have hurt their sales at all to drop them right. What hurt them was driving away the people that have wanted this shoe in its true form for like 10-12 years now only to see a crappy, shoddy version of it at a huge markup. None if it makes sense besides that it's cutting costs. This to me was the worst Gentry thing so far. Worse than he graphic foams, cause at least some of those can be acetoned. The only other Gentry signature slap in the face was the Penny pack they just did. I'm still bitter, lol.

Not only this, but the OG carbon fibers were a Niketown exclusive from what I remember, they were limited to begin with.

I've never seen nike try to hard to sell a model before.

they hit us with 3 consecutive FP 1 loves/desires in a row. No safari print/new era colors.

It's entirely their fault. If they are true to OG models and some previous retros, they'd have no problem selling out, but they're trying to cut too many corners. In theory when you think about all they have, they can be true to the shoe and blow out every release with enough pairs to go around for everyone, but their greed is getting the best of them.
 
Every time I check this thread I get more depressed. My only hope/delusion is they're burning off the flightposite exposed materials and will eventually get around to real flightposites

FP1's are one of my favorite nike models ever! Although I did but the "Carbon fiber" FP1 2014's, it's still sad how nike cut corners with this beautiful design. I know people are going to buy regardless, but it's really sickening how they jacked the price up with these. I don't understand why they put the "PRM" label to make these $10 more, which was already high as is. Those coppers look like the same material as the previous 2 FP 2014's. So, what makes these "PRM" again? Oh yeah, I know the answer, NOTHING! $220 for some flightposites is over the limit, but I can't complain to much, I did but the black pair, but I was very reluctant on purchasing them.

Seems like it just motivates them to bring more nostalgia colors out :lol:
