NFL Week 14 In Review...

You probably think all INTs fall on the QB as well right, esp when the ball is throw right in the hands of players like Randle/Myers and it bounces off their chest to the opposing team?

Yeah, let's open up another stat just for Eli right next to INTs that say "INTs that shouldn't count"...

when romo throws a pick, giants fans LOL at him even though they're not all his fault.
cowboys fan respond by LOLing at eli when he throws picks in similar fashion.

same excuses by both sides too. "______ is having to do everything, we have no run game /offensive line/defense stinks. _________ can't do it all by himself"

and to think Josh Gordon could have been had by any of the other teams in the league for a measly draft pick :x

but as someone told me on twitter, he was simply one blunt away

Browns never said they wanted to trade him, so I'm not sure that was ever really true.

Let me rephrase, you don't want him calling your offensive plays. Absolute horses*** play caller. Maybe as a head coach, he's OK. But don't let him call the offense. Unimaginative and ******ed.

you disliked his playcalling that much ? i didnt really have an issue with it . our offense was savage two years ago . he was a little too pass heavy though ...

Nobody says it shouldn't count, but the effort and "IQ" at times from his WR's is questionable.

Only dude who even plays hard and comes back to the ball on a consistent basis is Cruz. Myers is trash and can't catch/block, Nicks tuned out since week 1, and Randle isn't proven.

Don't even have a RB who can catch the ball in the backfield. :x

Truth, although I will say that when Romo does it, its a MUCH MUCH bigger deal.

I love seeing all the excuses for Eli this year. When people tried to make those same excuses for Romo, they are "delusional Cowboys fans" or whatever other nonsense NT'ers come up with. Romo has had a terrible line his entire career with the exception of 2007.

What's interesting is that Romo's worst season was last year when he threw 19 INT's and 28 TD's. Eli has 19+ INTS in several seasons.

Eli has always been a guy who throws a high amount of INT, plus they run a "big play or bust" (which I hate)/higher risk offense than they do in Dallas.

Difference is Eli won and played great when he did, Romo hasn't had that moment yet.

This is why I was blown away at people talking about shutting Rodgers down for the year. We are half a game out of first place  Why was it so hard to believe that the Lions could lose 2 more games.

Its gonna be pretty frustrating if we don't get in. To think if Rodgers never got injured he would only have had to win 2 games out of the last 6 to be in first. :smh:

i had HUGE problems with it. i feel like the only time we consistently moved the ball with any flow was when we went no huddle and let brady call it at the line. otherwise it was pass heavy when it needed to be balanced, or vice versa. i remember *****ing about it our pats thread

Jets only won because I was in attendance, drunk and cold. And because Kerley was back and he opens our offense up.

Wonder if our D plays lights out and makes plays we can beat the Panthers :nerd: .

I don't get why they don't give Cox any looks. You can't win just playing three power backs that can't catch. Andre Brown is on my fantasy team though, so I ain't gonna complain.....

Hakeem Nicks has to be the first player I've ever seen give zero dambs in his contract year. He's doing the exact opposite of what he's supposed to be doing. Has his agent/family/friends anybody told him how many millions he's lost over the past few months?

Myers is so bad. He never looks confident out there. Always has that face on him like a shaky kicker.

Cruz still plays hard but something's different about him. Not as explosive as last year. Just doesn't look like he's in the shape he was in. He went from an unknown undrafted player that fought to become a Pro-Bowler and is on a bunch of commercials and advertisements now. Might have gotten to his head.

We laugh cuz Romo and the Cowboys f ups come at the same time damn near ever year. It's very entertaining.

Most definitely disagree about a "higher risk offense" since Romo is extremely Favre-esque, but I don't want this WIR thread to get derailed, yet again.

Ray Sherman crying about the officials is starting to make me enjoy the 49ers winning. My brother flapping his gums about possibly seeing Dallas in the playoffs is actually less annoying that Sherman crying to the refs as to them being the reason for the L.

Team's don't want seem to want defense guys as their head coach anymore....they want the offensive genius types.

I love Brown's game he just has crab hands.

Giants 2013 offense (before Andre Brown): 1st down run for 0-1 yards, 2nd down: 4 yard completion, 3rd down: false start.....3rd and long...incomplete...punt.

Everyone gets on Nicks for his zero touchdowns but he is still getting some yards on the field (effort or not), but Cruz only has 4 and Randle has 6-7....so it's not like anyone is lights out this year. Plus once they reach the goal line its run run run, Eli is not throwing for TDs in those situations.

Nicks/Eli connection has gotten progressively worse since the first two years, their bread and butter back shoulder throw/catch has been non-existent.

Someone desperate will still pay for Nicks, Giants have other holes to fill. When they were good, they had one of the better offensive lines in the league and had 1000 yard rushers, I'm not a fan of this style of football the past two years.

It's an absolute joke that Lavonte David's name isn't on anybody's Defensive Player of the Year lists. Better numbers than Kuechly at every single category. Dude is amazing. One of the best defensive players in the entire league regardless of position IMO.

He's now one of only four players in NFL history (and the only LB) to have 6 sacks and 5 interceptions in the same year.
