The Combat Jack Show Thread

Combat on Budden's podcast, Stretch and Bobbito on Juan Ep and Slim Jesus on Tax Season. I'm all set for my workday.

Is there an official podcast thread in music or is this acting as such?

Joe's podcast is damn near 2 hours and so is Tax and Juan Ep

I watched last weeks Couples Therapy because of the podcast. The other two women look more like a transgender than the transgender. Talk about plastic surgery gone wrong.

Is there an official podcast thread in music or is this acting as such?

This is pretty much it

Carmen is one of those "girls" that make you look at every girl wondering if they changed parts

Can't even look at birth certificate because she changed that too

Listening to Combat Jack on Joe's podcast, it's so much easier to listen to. I think Joe needs to make some changes and maybe just do it solo and have a guest every week. Listening to Joe and Jack is mad smooth. They can have an intelligent conversation. I can't take the two yes men on his show anymore. The broad is a balloon head. She has the mind of a 14 year old and she follows what everyone else says. She adds NOTHING to the show. The guy Rory agrees with everything Joe says. They're both brutal.

I kinda like Rory.

Haven't listened yet but I figured it would be a lot smoother. Joe definitely has to rethink a few things. The podcast could be great if it was more focused and less all over the place at times.

EDIT: I'm a half hour in and this is the best one yet.

Before i saw a pic of Rory i pictured him as Glen from The Walking dead cuz onecday Joe said Rory reps for the asian community lol

It's his best podcast because you have two intelligent men speaking. Rory is intelligent but a yes man that tries to emulate Joe the whole time. Marissa laughs at everything and throws out random **** that has nothing to do with the topic. I love how Jack kept talking over them. It sounded like two adults talking while the kids are in the back trying to get attention and be included.

Did I miss something about Rosenberg and Rap Radar?

I'm still on the Joe/Combat one. I think Combat has some feelings towards them too.

I was wondering if they would have beef if Joe went to Loud Speakers, because I know Joe was thinking the same thing I was.

What show left Loud Speakers? Vlad is the only one I can think of and I didn't listen to that crap.

The Stretch & Bob Juan Ep. :nthat:

It took me back to when I loved hip hop. That's also a big part that is missing from New York hip hop.

It was funny with how Stretch and Bob were low key trying to teach them what was bad radio and what wasn't interesting to talk about.

It's worth a listen to me. It has it's ups and downs. Some weeks are a lot better than others.

Kevin Gates is no fool. Some of what he says makes a lot of sense, and I appreciate how honest he is about depression.

But man, this dude has me

I didn't hear his Combat Jack interview, but when he was on the breakfast club he mentioned getting a masters degree in psychology while locked up.

I don't listen to Joe's podcast, but I will give this ep a listen to see whats up. Speaking of unnecessary sidekicks, Pete wasn't there when Lisa Evers came on Combat Jack. It was good not having to hear him say or ask dumb **** to her, but Combat still on his bs interrupting during interviews and asking some basic *** questions.

So The budden podcast is worth a subscription?
yea I actually like it....never was a big Budden fan but his personality comes off cool on the pod so it's a good listen

edit: white dude cool too...doesn't come off as smug like a lot of white hip hop personalities

the young minded chick is a constant reminder why I don't mess with young chicks

i have to disagree with you on the part about Rory....

at times he gets just as annoying as Marissa

most annoying was the combat jack one but I've only listened to like 6 or 7 buddens pods as of now....my sample size is small

Rory is cool to me. I'm glad Rahqi is gone. She was trying to become the co-host and turn it into mediatakeouts podcast

I know Joe is feeling some type of way about the Meek/Wale thing happening on Wednesday

Him on Tax's podcast should be interesting.

I wonder if Juan Ep were able to get Rakim.

Was her interview any good? I didn't have any interest in it.

I appreciated it because I'm from NYC and remember her and her ex husband from the guardian angels, her street soldiers show on Hot 97,and her reporting for Fox 5. So I wanted to hear about that for nostalgia purposes. She also has roots in Hiphop and talks about that as well. People who aren't familiar with her may not be interested in her personal story, but in my opinion the interview worth a listen whether you know of her or not.

Combat's question were cool, but they didn't meet the level she is on. Can't complain too much because Pete wasn't there so that helped.

Yeah that was definitely an NYC centered episode, I listened to part of it when it dropped and finished it yesterday. I found myself googling a bunch of the stuff they were talkin about.

RE: The podcast that left, maybe it was Reality Check, then again I've never heard of it. Or maybe it was the one with the female DJ, I can't recall the name of it
