Are these Rose's latest shoe, the "D ROSE 5"?

Nobody knows, but sure looks great with that lace lock & BOOST cushioning

I'm gonna miss seeing the 3 stripes down the heel. I'm feeling the simple upper but it's a little plain(samples?). Love the mesh (equivalent to Nike's Engineered Mesh?) that doesn't give the shoe a cheap feel. Don't care for the lace lock l'll put it on a key chain. Hearing great things about Boost. Looking forward to trying it out. Heard it's gonna be in the 3 price range?

Too early. It's probably a side sneaker to coincide with the release of the 4's. Milking the Rose brand.

Appearance-wise, I haven't liked a Rose since the 3.5.  For performance, I preferred the Supernatural Creators and Rose 1/1.5 over the 3's as well.

Don't like these either, but we'll see how they perform.

No doubt these will perform like a beast with Boost tech, but imho, adidas needs 2 changes to spice things up.
1) Premium material (...unlikely)
2) Trim that lace lock just by a little

Don't get me wrong, I like these when they pop out, but it feels just a little more lacking if you competed these with big boys...just sayin'

It's funny how when sneaker companies get desperate we start seeing great stuff like this from an active signature line, or maybe Adidas was planing to push the Rose shoes like this anyway.  When I mention the other signature lines I'm mostly comparing them for playing purposes so along with the look they need perform too.

Kobe: to be fair it's been around the longest but best line IMO. Love the 6's & 8's but the 9 is a bit too modern for me plus that price

Lebron: feels on the bulkier side which is good for LBJ but bad for most people and the price

Durant: never liked the look of the shoes

Rose: love the tech and the variety can't argue the price compared to others

Howard: (crickets)

Melo: heard good things but never tried them, plus it's hard to shake the retro tag off Jordan

Cp3 (same as Melo)

To be fair I really wanted to play in the retro 6 coming out this year but the way it seems JB goes about their retro "basketball" shoes they probably won't hold up on the court. So I'm better off going with one of these and not fear paying so much for destroying what has turned into casual shoe nowadays.

It looks like one of the Nike team bball shoes but I forgot the name of the shoes.

Loving the Upper with the Perforations, just the whole mold of the shoe is dope. 3-Stripes on the Tongue... nice creativity.

Nice High Quality Sneaker... and I love the fact they don't have to Lean on any Logo (like most Signatures do w/ the Swoosh) to Validate the Aesthetic of the sneaker.

Don't get me wrong, I love my Kobe's, but you take the Swoosh off and they're Lackluster AT BEST. And Most Brons (esp. Bron XI) look Turrible w/o the Swoosh if you've seen it.

The Big "D" Logo on the back is NICE Touch IMO. Plus, I don't mind because my name is "Derrick" too, anyway.

Can't wait to see more Angles tho, bc I still have questions on that Midsole...

I pretty much agree with everything said here, except I have had no experience hooping in Kobe shoes. Style-wise and fit-wise, Kobe 6s and 8s are some of the best.

Logo is too big on those DRose's, at least for my tastes.

Waiting for the more Durable Recreational d roses . Everything has been strictly hooping thus far as far I've seen. I think they need to reevaluate the lighter is faster campaign? . I would love a d rose boot like joint. Something bulky like the krazy 8s . Heavier & thicker material . These aren't BAD. Like the glorified logo. Just need more heavy thicker materials my take. I'd be hyped for a predominately blk leather joint.

Not a bad point at all really. A Chicago focused, thick, street shoe would be cool.

Hmm. For every point of view like this... there's 10 more who feel the Exact Opposite tho.

Brands like Adidas can never win because fans always feel that how'd they'd like them to look would help Adidas gain success. That's not the case.

Lebron, KD, Kobe... all have LIGHTWEIGHT (in some cases, Frail & Plastic) Sneakers... so should they rethink their Lighter Sneakers?...

I'm not saying I agree or disagree with your statement, because I'm a fan of all sorts of looks... it's just about the execution of the idea. Boot-Like and Light-Sleek could both be Dope!

...IDK. It just seems as if there's always "just & warranted" criticism towards 3-Stripes and others, while the Swoosh gets a pass for the CONSTANT BS.

With that said... you don't think these are more of a Blend between the Light/Sleek and Thicker/Durable builds...?  I mean, it's got the Soft Nubuck & TPU Chassis around the Ankle...
