Adidas D ROSE 5

Was looking to get the black/red pair and I was surprised to see this colorway on the shelf. Picked it up with no questions asked

First impressions:

Fit - Fits TTS (wide foot), the toebox is pretty roomy.

Cushion - Firm but responsive, can't comment more on this but I like it.

Support - Feels very supportive but not restrictive at all. The materials on the ankle collar is very comfortable.

Will add more to this after playing this weekend, can't wait. :pimp:

Have any of you seen this colorway? LINK

That's pretty funny...I remember reading in runner's world when boost first came out how adidas was saying it was so hard to make....that they only get so much at a time....RIIIIGHT

PS - Just chatted with the folks at adidas.com. The black is supposed to release today but they don't know when they'll go live on the site. Was told it could be a couple of days
It's moreso that the boost material itself was very expensive to completely mass produce hence limiting volume. It seems that they may have found a more economical way to do so.
^^^That's exactly right.

Anyone that has these yet, are they TTS or .5 sz up? I had the Rose 2.5 All stars and they ran pretty narrow. TIA

For me all D Roses have run narrow on me, but I do have slighty wide feet. I've only worn up to the 3 around though, so curious to see how these and the 4/4.5 compare fit wise to the first three sigs.

I took a chance and just got my TTS 11.5. I was gonna get a 12 too and return one but I don't want the hassle.

Repped for the amazing shots and review.

Conflicted. Really want to pick these up ASAP for my league, but Rose's get reduced so quickly, and so deeply in Canada(wasn't a fan of the 4/4.5 but they could be had for $50 fairly shortly after release, and this is Canadian retail, so the initial price-point was much higher). Was never a big fan of Rose's line in general--though I did really like the 3-- but full-length boost sounds like heaven to play in.

Last Rose I played in were the 3s. Needed a 10.5 in those. Tried a 10.5 in the 5s and they were too big. 10 was about right . Toebox still roomy even though the length and width are much better in a 10. Boost feels intriguing just walking around. Heel has really nice cushioning and rebound. Forefoot is firmer but still feels springy. Seems like a good balance of impact protection and court feel. Way better than the Rose 3s and anything else I've tried from Adidas in the last couple of years. Still not sure what to make of the traction pattern. Overall looking forward to playing ball in them in the next couple of days.

Yeah, even though I'm a Rose fan and like most of his shoes, I have never picked up a pair on RD or paid retail.  I picked up the 2, 2.5, and 3 in the outlet and each one was waaay under retail.  For better or worse, Rose sigs end up at my local outlet for the low.

$140 for these is too high for me, even with a discount.  I'd be surprised if these didn't pop up at the outlet for $60-70.  End cool story bro.

I'll tell you now. There is NO WAY EVER these will be $60-70...the lowest I can possibly see them is maybe $90.

If Rose stays healthy and has a solid season, I agree that these won't hit bargain prices below $90.

But the previous sigs have hit as low as $50 to $70 at outlets.

His shoes have been hitting outlet prices cuz he's been hurt.

But like above poster said, if he has a good season, with his shoes looking the best it's ever been, you might not get so lucky

Lol, I remember footlocker had a whole wall dedicated to him at my mall. When he got hurt the second time, they took all that away lol

I don't think they'll go as low as $70 because of the boost material. The boost runners have consistently been about $30 - $40 off at the outlets....nothing less. Of course I'd love for these to be super cheap but I don't think they'll be that cheap...injuries be damned.

I'm in for the white/red...  can't resist.

Maybe I bought into the excitement with this release, but I've got no shame... I just love boost.

Hearing that traction is actually pretty decent on these, which I was worried about.  Nice
