12/2014 Air Jordan 11 Retro - White/Black-Legend Blue - 378037-117 NO GM TALK ALLOWED!

How do you determine that? You either liked sneakers or you didn't, no style of shoe will push you into being a "sneakerhead".

Because a lot of "sneakheads" came to rise during the 2011 Concord era.
Ok I need an idea of what you think a sneakerhead is. I think maybe there has been more exposure and sites made these few years but they've always been there. Only teens think this is new or heightened because of some Jays.

Ill never understand Jordan heads. Over 1 million pair sold yet people are still paying over 300 for these?!?! So every other kid you walk past will have these on.... Have fun with that
Because well over 1 million people want these? If people could easily get them for retail, then they would pay retail. When was the last time JB has had to cut prices of OG Is-XIVs to sell retros? XIs have a HUGE cult following, even among non-sneakerheads... Hell, dudes start fights and even kill each other over them-paying over $300/pair isn't strange at all and if it makes people happy who are you to judge?

my point exactly. I remember going to a finishline in a rural town in 2009-2010 and most of 2011 with no problems up until concords dropped. occasionally we'd line up and it 'd usually be the same regulars from the area. concords came around and people just flooded that place. I'm not an elitist at all so I could care less, but it deff seemed like a lot of self proclaimed "sneakerheads" were created that day. I personally hate the term, but some people love it.
We've already established resellers are a big issue when it comes to stock, especially now since kids can't afford the shoes so they have to sell to feed their addiction. Yes there's a higher demand, but if you wasn't battling every seller looking for trade bait or a come up it would be easier.

Unfortunately that's also true where I'm from. Was able to walk in Champs and buy multiple True Blue 3 in 09 on Sunday, but hasn't been able to after the release of concords. Didn't matter to me cause I started cutting down on purchase after Concords.

So you think concords made that situation? I was able to get two breds easy as hell. Impossible to determine a specific shoe caused sneaker popularity to rise, it's like saying concords made more people resellers.

Not trying to say anything regarding "XI made sneaker heads', just agreeing with the fact that demand has gone up after Concords. Breds were weird, I too was able to cop when I put in no work.

Any way you slice it, concords marked the time when shoes started selling out for almost every release. It's not an opinion. Its a fact.

I think Jordan popularity started to soar when the space jams released, all that tv exposure and hype set up for the next year and so on. It was gradual but it was inevitable. Artists, Web sites glorifying shoe collectors made it worse of course.

So my packages don't have a street address on them
Just apt. Number
On the phone with nike and ups tryna get this straightened
Can't even do a pick at facility because we recently moved and our id addresses don't match where we moved to
And we used 3 different cards to get 3 different pairs :smh:

What part of that was judging? If it makes people happy let them kill each other over them?

yepp. I got lucky because I knew a girl that worked at finishline so I was able to get two. but after that I had to get hip to the online game. XI releases outside of concords were relatively easy, but that day in 2011 was hell. now that I know what I'm doing online XI drops are the least og my worries. but like I know going to a huge college in an urban area, I'll have dudes on the sports teams or random people that I know don't like shoes that will hit me up to grab them.

I can't agree with this, the Tokyo 4, quai, year of the hare, db 3s and others released that year also, just like now all those shoes sold out instantly.

funny thing is this is when I got into sneakers lol

It's just looking at the facts, you know.
I mean Jb retros shoes that dropped and sat right before the concords and now they selling out like its nothing.

No retro+ color really sold out either.

And dummies that think resellers just came out of nowhere just don't want to believe the truth.

definitely opinion because things sold quite well in 2010. The concords marked the start of the reseller craze if anything.
