He said something along the lines about him not realizing how much the 5 days a week, early morning would take. Can't remember completely, but there may have been something about a MLB type job that wouldn't allow him to work there regularly.
A lot of people didn't like him, but I thought that he did have his moments. Some of his stories were pretty funny, to me at least.

that dude was god awful to listen to. seemed so uncomfortable talking alongside bucher and towney. he was the equivalent of having selena on 949 when they had jv and rico: adding nothing of value besides being an occasional punching bag for someone... sort of like the current A's

I'm still buying tickets to the (potential) wild card game. I don't know what it is, but I can't seem to give up on these guys yet. I'm just waiting for the day they turn it around, hopefully it is real soon.

initially thought it was a slump that they'd break after a week or so. but if you're gonna play baseball like this for a month and a half+ (maybe even more, beane insists that the bats fell asleep well before the cespy trade), maybe this is just the fabric of the team and who we really are?

Other than hope, what actually makes you guys think we can turn this around?

The pitching will be there, hopefully doolittle returning fixes the bullpen woes, but what makes you think this team can score enough runs? They have no confidence and no real leader. I just don't see how they can turn it on all of a sudden. I don't even want to talk about the defense.

I would love to be wrong and see them get hot, but I have seen nothing out of this offense that proves a change is coming.

Btw, not even mad at the trades. Went for it, got burned by mentally soft players who couldn't handle having a target on their back. Some ppl just cant handle being alphas...

We have mental ******ation when it comes to offense. Our pitching is really really overated. Our bp is straight garbage. Kaz is way to inconsisten. Hammel is the worst pitcher I've ever seen. It's pityful to watch this team. Billy def deserves most the blame. He ruined something that didn't need to be fixed.

Thought about it but jus seems like a waste. I don't see them gettin past the 1st round. Maybe not even the wild card smh. A lot of positive talk today mostly due to the raiders n Niners losing but As are done unfortunately. Hope billy makes some good moves in the off season. We threw away the World Series IMO

I got my wild card tickets, 3rd deck behind home plate comes out to $33 after fees. If the season ended today, it'd be Lester Vs. "Big Game James" Shields at home. I like our odds if that happens.
