Like clockwork Bobby Parnell blows it. Why does Terry continue to play him in situations like this. Second straight day or not, it shouldn't matter. It was a day game. Even with that said, Lagares' poor base running proved to be the play of the night. He should have scored on that double and then again when the catcher threw the ball away.
 
Not his fault Mejia is a moron, Parnell would not be pitching in that spot.

Mets lost this game in the 3rd imo, runners at 2nd and 3rd no outs and not one run?

Can't win them all, but the Nats are getting wrecked.
 
If you're not gonna have stuff anymore you better get by on pitchability and Parnell hasn't shown that yet.

On the contrary Colon was brilliant. When he has his cutter and sinker moving he puts on a pitchability clinic. Uses both sides of the plate, changes eye levels and speeds.
 
Colon deserved a W tonight with the way he pitched to a pretty stacked Bucs squad. 

Thanks for nothing Robert Parnell, ya bum.
 
Mets bats were silent, pitching only allowed one run in 9 innings, have to take care of that game at home.

On to the next one.
 
These next 2 games are necessary if we want to be mentioned with the big boys this October.

We caught a break with no Gerrit Cole this series. Gotta take this series
 
Pitching did its job tonight. The offense was nowhere to be found in extras. Awful at bats from Cespedes, Granderson and Murphy among others. Gotta beat the good teams.
 
Disappointed with our offense tonight. No excuse. Charlie Morton isn't that great.

Lagares is struggling in CF. The injury has to be getting to him mentally because he's gone from gold glove to tin. Move him to left when he plays with Cespedes.
 
Pathetic performance this weekend. Do they want to win the division or just hope Washington keeps losing?

Since he's come up in '12, Harvey has 16 non wins in games he's allowed 1 run or less.
 
was at the game today, rain delay definitely ruined the momentum when 2 players got on base. parnell pitched terribly and was boo'ed constantly during his performance. the whole game after the rain delay was unbearable to watch with the walks, hits, and errors
