Wu-Tangs Million Dollar Album

Ninjahood is dumping his kicks so he can have that liquid Porsche money and put the album on layaway

Am I the only one who thinks this is a dumb *** idea
Not to mention the recent talk from the chef about how the wu is divided
And how it's basically rza being 1 of the reasons
Miss me with all that about it being art
That's a ******** thing to do and treat fans from day 1

thats the point the majority of the money goes to RZA & power

This is an amazing marketing strategy. I hope they can sell the exhibit style listening experiences, and then the album without a leak cutting into profits. After that they could do a tour with the same type of exclusive experience in unusual venues. I hope this ends well.

I like Wu but I don't think those fools can come up with any material worth $20 an album let alone a million.

I think their crossing fingers for Jsy Z's sympathy just like Nipsey.

Tho only issue i have is the possibility of the music never releasing i feel like after 6 Months of doing the presentations then you release the album to the public with digital and physical copies. The initial draw of hiphop was that when it first started it wasn't something that was easy to get, you had to search for it and that's why many of the OG's still have such golden moments and memories from those days. The last album that really left a memory of the experience was MCHG and before that WTT. They essentially came out of nowhere and because i'm a fan of both I was scrambling to get my hands on it.

this could've worked great with forever

their new stuff...not so much.

and im a BIG wu fanatic..

even got in trouble throughout middle school for putting W's on all my assignments, they thought me and my phillipino buddies were a gang.

then the crip homies were always, "man we dont listen to that chinese ish"

If they have the sound track playing while you walk and look over exhibits from there past like rhyme books clothing from memorable moments I'd pay to go if it's just listening to the album pass

Exactly. Wu is not the Wu it used to be. I think people would rather not listening to that album if any. This could have slightly worked for Forever cause that was the ultimate hyped album for them but now, I don't think anyone is really expecting them top 36 Chambers......ever.

Only white hipsters with money to burn will pay for this.

Skinny jeans and faded wutang vintage tshirts will be the crowd so I could see it work.

Once the album is finished touring, the Clan plans to sell it up for up to $1 million where, if bought by the right person, could the be put out for normal purchase.

Gwyneth Paltrow is supposed to be a huge 90's rap fan.

More detail on the album, I think it's a smart move and very financially savvy (assuming all goes as plan). I personally find the idea of going to a museum to listen to an album once, on audio, for $30 crazy but that's not going to stop fans from going, I would do it for the experience.

"The pieces slowly fell into place, with the group’s original members agreeing to participate alongside few special guests. The lengthy leadup gave him plenty of time to think about how to ensure a lasting impact for the album."
The quote above leads me to assume that Rae will be on the album; even if he's not currently getting along with them, this album seems a long time in the works.

This might go down in history, even if they release a flop. The most innovative album release since mp3s and the possiblity of the worlds greatest leak.
