Things to do in ATL

I live in ATL. Born and raised in NYC.

Only fools hyping ATL is people from smaller cities.

Dont let these dudes fool you either. Can't even walk around malls without running into thirsty gay dudes.

I will say its nice getting affordable courtside seats to Hawks games.

To my ATL NTers, what's good with the MARTA trains?  I'm heading there for a show at the Variety Playhouse on Euclid Ave. in June and I was just wondering what that area is like.

I only ask because in doing some research on how to get from the closest station (either Inman Park or Edgewood) to the show venue, the directions literally said to only cut through a nearby park during the day.

I can hold my own, but I'm not about wasting gear in a scuffle on some dumb **** when I'm boozed up.

i lived in both and only ppl hyping nyc is ppl from who live in nyc.... is like dudes still stuck in ruckus park...90's hip hop wu tang era... Those days are long gone... ppl need to learn to let go... its like how cali cats where via the snoop/dre/pac era... it is what it is the past and they have moved on...

1990's etc are done... this whole nyc is some mecca hotbed days have passed... move forward and reinvent yaselves... one of the things i liked loved about nyc was its newness its way to be unique original and reinventive... its like in terms of style music demeanor etc.. cats like hit a wall circa 98 or some ish and got caught in some sort of time suspended matrix...  and think the rest of the world is still there with them. It was a time when ppl looked to ny... now ppl just look thru ny... Its basically living of the fumes of the past. On what it once was...

Yea fashion shows and alot of business etc.. runs thru nyc but again its all based on the past and where alot of ppl/business originated from. Even when you look at clothing, slang, lifestyle no one is really checking for looking out for ny anymore... Its quite sad to tell you the truth.

I blame it mainly on the youth/younger generations... they just living off the coat tails of the past and on some wave/trend following rather then being trend-setters and leaders. Granted other places such as the south and westcoast may have some questionable styles, slang music etc... but atleast it is something new original and different...

You could walk around ny in the winter today and go back 10-15 yrs and really outside the ppl influenced by other regions there really isnt much of a change... down to the slang aka still saying son... down to the music... And the few ppl who have changed reinvented themselves ala like a jayz or diddy most new yorkers damn near disown them or call them wack or sellouts or changed and aint keeping it real...aka staying in stuck in the past.

Dude Im not saying ATL is bad. It's better than any other city south of DC.

However, lets be real, is anything I said a lie?

Might just say the hell with it and grab a cab to/from the venue.  Hopefully traffic won't be too crazy b/c we're probably staying in Buckhead.

Marta is weak overall. But you can take it to Inman park and make a quick walk to Euclid. No tool needed bro, thats a hipster neighborhood.

atl in most part has gained traction mainly cause at a time it was open field in terms of jobs opportunity.... it was an untapped market in terms of urban style music etc... and most urban style music etc... comes from blacks to which outside of dc... atl is pretty much the mecca of black ppl... You take into acoount it pretty much the only really major big city in the south and most black folks from anywhere can relate be it family friends is from somewhere around near atl.

Thing is both have its pros and cons... atl as far as settling down 9-5 family kids yard bbq's on saturday.. football party on sunday chilling on the deck etc....thats atlanta...

Out and about no dambs giving... carefree just loving living life that is nyc...that and the variety of ppl particular women and the overall culture different groups of ppl...

I mean i lived in ny as a younging and to be honest in the early 20 ish age... it was booming...when no bills really... although stupid living teeam raw etc... a spanish mami one day/week and some czech or maybe some south korean the next... (trust me just having black chicks was a bore...and just country black chicks at that) but now twice that age and what not..a family kids etc... i like living out about near atl... Granted not like in the sticks i am now...But where i am in life now it is a more suited fit as oppose to nyc...

And again i went a few yrs ago after spending late 90's early 2000's there and really nothing has changed much.. outside of many younger dudes i see carbon cpying each other especially from other regions... It was like looking at/being in atl/hou etc.... but folks with a northern accent...

Cats were wearing slim/skinny jeans... bape/lrg hoodies... chains on belt loops etc.... all the same ish i saw south part houston... east atlanta etc... down to similiar slang... Either that or you had some of the older... cats who was still on some 1990's big buuble coats baggy sweats timbs etc...

I mean the originality etc.. was pretty much gone out the window.. I saw as many dudes looking dressing like lil wayne/2chainz in nyc as i do in atl or most other places... Really outside the literally landscape and buildings it was almost no difference...

and as far as the gay thing man for as many craigslist trannies that be out in astoria etc.... and on the strolls and what if it still around i think it was called hudson bay or something like that my mind slips me... it was about as many heshes... shedudes pros as u can see in buckhead/glenwood rd east ponce on a late friday saturday night.

True

All in all Atlanta is the mecca for ******, if you aint pulling something is wrong.

Also somebody said chicks dont approach guys :smh: trippin. Women down there is aggressive if they want you they will say something regardless if ur chick is on ur arm or not

I was at stonecrest mall with my wife and kids walking towards the car, and a chick was walking in front of us and all of a sudden she was throwing her *** but I ain't eem know it til my wife told me bout it.

She was like "u see that ho was tryna make u see that ***?"

I wasn't eem paying her no mind.

I wasn't eem clean either. Just some cargos, a shirt from Legoland and my freeruns *shrug*.

the best and easy ones is kinda weird especially with the black ones... you got basically easy yambs with the kinda young and dumb ones who on the road to get they ish 2gether... or the young ones who pretty much got they ish blew out.. or the ones who later in life realize having a house full of bastard babies... driving a lexus and having a half million dollar home and purses dont make up for a man...

Anyone in between and u get those stupid oh imma try this lord thing out.. and imma save myself i dont need know man... steve harvey told me i need to love myself but we can still hangout and you can spend money on me types... them the ones you gotta catch early, or wait and hold off till they realize that there ways aint working.. and start coming around.

Thing is you gotta jump on it quick cause its so many single mom made dudes and they keep the capes out and they quick to stop a cock in a single block...
