Amazon is a company like no other.

No rewards program and they still get business.

Amazon is the walmart of the internet.

From 08 till now, I've spent $8,000 on amazon.

How much have you spent?

Your account>order history>download order reports

Use whatever program you have to sum up your order totals.

Dear Customers,

A little more than 3 years ago we launched Prime Instant Video, adding unlimited streaming of thousands of movies and TV shows to the existing Prime benefit of Free Two-Day Shipping. It has turned out to be one of the most important things we've done for Amazon Prime members. Today, we are doing it again for music — introducing Prime Music, the newest benefit of Prime membership.

With Prime Music, you can listen ad-free to over a million songs and hundreds of expert-programmed Prime Playlists. Prime Music includes tens of thousands of albums from top artists like Daft Punk, P!nk, Bruno Mars, Blake Shelton, The Lumineers, Bruce Springsteen and Madonna. And we'll be adding more music all the time. Here's a list of popular artists in Prime Music.

In designing Prime Music, we wanted to remove the barriers between you and the music you love. We removed cost. You can listen to the entire Prime Music catalog for free — it's included in your Prime membership. We removed interruptions. Don't worry about having your music constantly disrupted by ads... you won't hear any. We removed listening restrictions. Choose exactly what song to listen to, repeat your favorite song over and over again, or download music to your phone or tablet to listen offline.

Finally, we removed one more barrier — deciding what to listen to. Just play any of the hundreds of Prime Playlists our music experts have created for you. Check out the Prime Playlists here.

Prime members in the US can start listening to Prime Music today at start a 30-day free trial today. We think you'll find the convenience of free two-day shipping combined with access to a huge selection of movies, TV, music and books to be an incredible value for just $99 a year.

Wal-Mart and Amazon are not alike. The only similarity they share is their goal of offering the lowest possible price. The way they go about that are day and night.

Amazon is :pimp: tho. Between books from college, computer parts, impulse buys, etc I've easily spent $3000 since I got my first green dot at 14

Nah amazon falling off. Amazon back in the early 00 to mid 00 was untouchable.

how can amazon be falling off if they just acquired an hbo deal like two days ago? I've been wanting hbo shows on instant since i got it. Finally, i got my wish.

signed up for Amazon prime a month ago when they asked if I wanted a trail. So just now when I'm checking my debit card, I notice they got me for $99 :x

Not worth it at all for me, I don't buy enough from there.

they should be able to send you a refund or an amazon credit, if it was an honest mistake.

amazon has great customer service.

it just means they outbidded netflix, hulu etc. for it. And where does that money come from? The continuing raising of the prices on Prime subs, using Surepost for their "2 day" prime shipping to cut costs, raising the minimum to $35 for free shipping, items you could order with prime before are now part of the add-on program thus negating prime no minimum shipping benefit, etc. Plus they just released FireTV and have the Fire tablets and will soon have a Fire Phone. Also they have a video game studio which they recently purchased for the fire tv and is funding original tv show pilots for instant prime. Tell me that's not a company spreading itself too thin. Amazon's bread and butter will always be being that giant online retailer for goods from A to Z. I just hope they don't lose focus.

Amazon's customer service is still top notch though.

They inflate their prices to cover shipping

And did you know the price can change base on your zipcode

No wonder they are getting sued

Amazon customer service sucks now. Just recently had a issue and had to speak to 4 people before getting it resolved where back in the day they would take care of it right and away and give you a small credit. :rolleyes

Hi guys, never bought off Amazon before but I might just do it very soon as I saw something Ive been looking for for ages. Is it as easy as signing up and then paying via CC for what you want?

To my knowledge(not much), yes.

Amazon is cool. Buuuutttt

-Since I gotta pay sales tax the savings on most stuff I order has disappeared

-Random HUGE ( like double) price increases for no reason on popular items. Waffle Crisp and Closys where two things I bought there all the time both doubled :smh:

-Now I shop around, 50% of the time I can get the same item somewhere else for cheaper.

-A lot of my items no longer come in 2 days. The come in three with an extra day to process. I complain, the refunded the item and let me keep it. I keep complaining since it keep happening, I got hit with the nicest "Deal with it" in history.

-They treat their warehouse employees like ****. :smh:

I have prime for 18 more months, and still use Amazon. But I try to give local business my money or use Newegg and Drugstore.com (shoprunner 2-day) more often and avoid giving Amazon my business.

And just like the Apple worship the Amazon worship is getting kinda :rolleyes . Like every since Jobs died, the Bezos D ridin has been off the charts.
