Those chain-like franchise restaurants

How much do you tip your waiters or waitress

These aren't fancy restaurants, but the people still try to serve you with a smile on, give you decent - good service

Good topic.

*edit*

Good service is good service. I'd tip the same 20% as I would if I was eating at a place like Joe's Stone Crab, etc.

4 or 5 bucks at the is good enough if you order a large meal , but 3 bucks if you order something $11 and under

no diff than any other restaurant, more or less depending on server

i dont eat applebees though, couldve at least used ruby tuesdays for lower tier dining

I imagine the cheap folks who do eat at those types of places tip 15% absolute maximum

Tip the same way regardless of where you are eating. The people are what you need to consider, not the quality of the restaurant.

If this takes off into your standard NT Tipping thread I might read it all, I never do and the last one was like 60 pages there had to be gems in there.

Why should they be tipped less than employees a "fancy restaurant"? They do the same work for less.

0%

but that is because i do not frequent that establishment, too rich for my tastes...

Let's just end this now before the official spokesman of all severs comes in essays galore.

Don't tip= scum of the earth, parents failed you or you don't believe anyone should get a tip for what they're supposed to do

Tip a little = you're cheap, you shouldn't buy shoes if you can't tip

Tip normal= normal or you're still cheap, I tip more because I'm on NT and I'm rich (of course)

Tip a lot= if you don't do this you're broke and shouldn't eat out because this is what I do and in on NT so I'm rich (duh)

Anything else I'm missing?

Usually give a 20% tip at any restaurant ; they gotta eat too.

I have a question though. When you guys call in to order for carry out (like pizza, chinese etc.) , do yall tip?

fully depends on service at any spot I'm sitting down.

yup, more if the weather sucks. we used to smoke one of the pizza hut dudes up too.

that's how you get benefits, blud.

Last week I picked up Olive Garden for carry out and I still tipped. I typically do tip for carry out also but I know some of you guys dont becuase carry out eliminates all of the "servicing" that would warrant a tip

Over my many years of eating out and dining at restaurants, I've crafted the perfect 5-point system that I use to determine a server's tip.

Scale goes from rounding to the nearest dollar to 50% of bill.
