Thank god for Gamefaqs

OMG Gamefaqs

The holy grail of walkthroughs, codes, tips, tricks and as always those tricky special moves for fighting games

I prefered the SNES version of Mario Kart over the 64 version.

Anyone else feel this way?

I also felt that Diddy Kong racing was a great/fun game

Diddy Kong Racing was awesome. One of my favorite N64 games. Seems like it's always overlooked/underrated.

But Super Mario Kart and Mario Kart 64 were two different games. Don't think you can compare them as different "versions". Both were great imo.

the battle mode in mario kart 64 is untouchable

but racing wise and skill snes is the purest version of mario kart

was actually playing it last night on the gameboy advance

What about this version of Mario Kart. Was it ever on a Home System?

It looks fun whenever I see it in an ARCADE

I remember this dude would hustle codes from Gamefaqs and this site called Game Revolution

For $5 he would print you all the codes to any game

This was before everyone had access to the internet and printers

We used to have a pencil and paper in our pocket and go to the local game shop and copy down the codes from the GamePro's and EGM's.

My mom would bring me to Stop n Shop to go grocery shopping BSc would straight up abandon me in the magazine/book session thinking no body would want to steal me  ... Anyways, it had all the good video game magazines... Tips and Tricks :nthat:... That mag helped me beat so many games... I was almost never allowed to get one, but I wrote down mad cheats on paper to bring home ... I remember they had a Link to the Past guide paced over several issues and getting stuck in certain dungeons and had to wait to go grocery shopping again ...

I remember I knew this one kid with internet in the dial-up days and I used to go to his house to print codes and guides from CheatCC/Cheat Code Central. It was clutch back in the PSX/N64 days.

I remember those days too, where you didn't have to carry a cell phone or worry about being snatched up. :smh:

We'd be left in the toy section while groceries were done. Never actually ended up buying anything but it was a blast looking at the different action figures and toys.

Gotta disagree. Mario Kart 64 > Super Mario Kart. Controller felt better for steering, and the levels were more fun.

Daaamn. Ocarina of Time, Syphon Filter, Rogue Squadron, Twisted Metal III, Turok 2, Crash: Warped, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, Marvel vs. Street Fighter... :wow:

I still have NBA Live 99 with Antoine Walker on the cover. No Michael in it. They had "Roster Player", but the game was still good. I used to run it all the time. It was the only EA game I had. I had the 989 games for other sports like NFL Game Day and NHL Face Off.

A trip down memory lane.. :nthat:
