The RETRO Gaming Thread!

I need another shelf. All the boxes have the games in them.

I hadn't bought any in a long time. I recently got them back out of storage and started up again.

Once I get my basement back, I'm going to bolt them 2 high and attach them to the wall.

(I will post pics of boxed/sealed accessories eventually...)
My childhood in one picture.  Drool worthy.

^ I always wanted that Turbo Touch. Do use all that stuff?

No, most of that is still factory sealed. I have doubles of a lot of that stuff that I use.

I had the Turbo Touch for SNES also, but my dog threw a fit one day and shredded it. Good thing that's only like a $15-$20 item! If he would have grabbed the sealed NES controllers I would have been pissed!

I too have a storage unit full of video games and like seeing the posts here. On YouTube, I tend to watch Game Chasers (dudes are weird as hell but go on cool retro game hunts) and Game Sack for cool retrospective on older gaming companies and systems.

For those tha collect, what is that 1 game/accessory/console that has proven difficult to get your hands on?

For anybody that might know, been thinking of picking up an N64 from a local spot,is 49$ a good deal for a complete console with 2 controllers?

I could go on and on.

In my collection, it was hard to come by the Power Gloves in the carrying case. I posted a picture of the 2 I own on the last page.

If you try to Google info on them, nobody really knows 100% where they came from. Nobody remembers them on store shelves, no pics of them in the original package exists (yet), and nobody really remembers seeing them at all back in the day.

The SNES exercise bike, the SNES machine gun, the NES hands free controller for paralyzed kids, which I had a chance to buy in the early 2000's, brand new in the box, but I didn't want to spend $400 on it. Now it's easily double to triple that..

I could name hundreds of games.

As far as something I've been keeping my eyes open for and don't have yet - a dumb little NES lock that parents could put on the Nintendo to stop kids from playing. I've kept my eyes open for YEARS to find one of these damn things. I have the SNES and Sega versions, but the NES is very rare.

It's one of those things that if it doesn't have the package, people would say "what the hell is this"? And throw it away.

An N64 for $49 is OK if the controllers are actual Nintendo controllers, not off brand.

I use my wife's FB page, post wanted ads on the garage sale pages and get people left and right. You could easily get an N64 with games for cheaper than that...

I've paid $20 for an N64 with 6 games. 2 of them beings Zeldas. Ocarina and Majoras mask the collectors edition!

One Nintendo brand unboxed, one off brand new in box...Their games seem a little expensive, most big name titles start off at 25$ with no box, instruction manual,etc....

At $49 you don't win or lose. It's not a BAD price.

BUT for $49, it better have the expansion pack. It probably doesn't and they want you to pay $20 for it. The expansion pack is needed to play certain games.

I disagree that sports game are worse
