When heroin use hit the suburbs, everything changed (warning: potential race thread)

hell everywhere.... crack been took a backseat.. and its prelevant, not just in white suburbia but in the urban areas as well.... be it "water" in mississippi, alabama etc... tennesee...or be it getting "wet" midwest state...etc. Heroin has been big for at least a decade or more. Crack has become almost the older crowd/old heads vice of choice.

You do know water and wet is not heroin?

Oxycontin pills were modified to where freebasing didn't get you high, therefore folks stepped their game up n started basing that tar. I know like 3-4 dudes that have OD'd off it n died in the last few years. I also got at least 10-12 homies from way back that got hooked n now shoot that **** up their arm like 6-7 times a day. **** been real n the homies have been making a killing n been dying from that carga. Everybody been on dope (meth) but they grew up around it, so they know how to deal with it (at least not OD) but these white folk, n suburban colored folks, didn't grow up around it, so it's harder for them to handle n easier for them to become addicted. Me n my kuzn made a killing a few years back taking advantage, but I can't do the dope game no more. Can't stand the hours nor the hypes, but even more witnessing what people will do for a high is just disgusting, heartbreaking, chilling, etc.

Hopefully one day we'll realize to treat addicts rather than just lock em up.

when i was in mississippi thats what they called it... same way in alabama the call weed pine/wood...iuno i guess its just slang just like wet is laced blunts in nyc up north... I mean i know the difference im just saying/said that slang just in case different ppl/different regions areas.

I always thought that heroin's user base was predominantly white.

I guess that's just because most of the dope heads I personally encountered were white people.

No doubt. The number one motivating factor in all US relations boil down to one thing; resources. The threat comes from the competition for said resources. Maintaining the status quo is priority #1.

In my high school "black tar" heroin was the drug of choice for the white kids. Nobody else could afford that habit, the rest of us just smoked herb. Every couple of weeks one of my.former friends comes home from rehab :frown: I hear its even more popular now

I find the attitudes towards white kids that do drugs hilarious. Send Jimmy to rehab, clean up his life etc. When a black or Latino dude do drugs, he's a no good criminal who is messing up our school. **** is ridiculous

By the way, wet and water down here don't mean heroin either. They refer to laced blunts

Does anyone know why black tar heroin is only for the most part on the west coast ?

Never heard of junkies using it in the ny area
Only powered dope on the east coast

thought this was common knowledge
u shouldnt get any flack for it
never know famb...

Some cats on here reach for anything...

And if someone cries foul on the play against white people... They double back and say its all in black folk's minds.

all drugs' userbase is mostly white in america... they are 60% of the population

the prisons and arrest records paint a different picture due to profiling/racist policies

It's another racial double standard...take the gang culture in the early part of the century were white gangs were killing each other in the streets the same way black and brown gangs do today. The difference is that these gang members were rehabbed by improving their communities and giving them opportunities to succeed without the underworld. These reforms would never be given to black and brown gang members because they need to be criminalized in order to feed the machine.

Heroin is powerful.

I met a chick at a friend's bday party almost a year ago. Somehow we got on the subject of drug abuse, and this chick admitted to trying and abusing virtually every drug there is. She even told me that she smoked crack before. I immediately called BS, because she was sitting there, seemingly normal appearance wise, holding a conversation with us. She then went on to say crack was nothing compared to heroin, which she abused heavily in her late teens - early twenties.

...I told my girl something wasn't right with her prior to even discovering she was a drug addict. She seemed like she couldn't stay still.

In NJ , when you get a drug charge, they put you on drug court, it is a agreement to do AA / NA and and also see the judge every week, outpatient , yada yada, and if you fail a drug test you get locked up and try again, and you get put in long term inpatients and can't leave until your PO lets you... Or if u can't hack it u just max out and do your 3 flat or w.e your charge is..... And that's black, or white or any other race. It's different from if someone has insurance and just goes too their place of choice (nice ones in florida) the ones the state send you to are essentially jail but they both teach the same thing.... I've been in inpatients with people of all races.

Of course it happens in certain communities and it's time to do something about it like punishing the dealers harshly for someone else's problem.

While not heroin but remember that teen weed kingpin out of Ohio who was setting up and running things?you see the type of time he received and that's how I know things are stacked against black on purpose.

Pill's make big money for corps while the aftermath is kids making the switch to heroin but we fault the local drug dealer?ha

Another racial double standard is with the unemployment rate. The black unemployment rate was high, over 10% for decades. But only when it got that bad in the white community around 2008 did we start hearing about a 'Great Recession' and how we need job creation efforts.

This clown had BG and Turk high all the time on dat horse, that why back in the day Turk wasnt at shows and videos... BG got the horse when he like 13-15, i thought a majority of NT knew H was back besides its cheap as hell. Now most ppl smoke it instead of shooting it up

I have also heard that heroin is more popular now because it also comes in pill form. Bringing in new users who were scared to try because of the needle. I have done a lot of drugs in my life but never heroin. I have heard it's easily the best high one can have. Never gonna try it though

Had sex with this chick while she was on heroin, she seemed mad happy but I wasn't sure whether it was the D or the high. Or a combo of both. Too scared to try it tho. :nerd:

if you know she was a dope head why have sex with her ?

if you didn't know and found out after i would understand

dude get yourself checked out asap

never have sex with a heroin user protected or not

Best friend died of a heroin OD in 2012. Had to say bye to him while he was in a coma on a breathing machine.

Worst part is his other "friend" with him was high also and neglected to call 9-1-1 until he dragged him out of his house and cleaned up the evidence. By then it was too late. Precious moments that would have been huge for emergency personnel.

RIP to your friend. Sad to hear that people do that to others who OD with them because they are scared of the consequences they'll face. In NYC now all officers carry an opiate overdose reversal injection. That along with encouragement for people to call 911 if someone if OD'ing is actually saving lives.

From my local paper..
