Yeah I agree. Pretty much the only way to get a zoom option with the IXs would be to use something like the Lebron XI inserts or the Jordan 2012 inserts.
 
Man I am sorry but don't believe these are the X's they look like a venomenon or something similiar
 
Forefoot lunar looks to have cuts in it kinda like the drop-in midsole for the flyknit hyperfeel.  Could be wrong about this.

Cool concept, but again... would prefer a non-removable insole with a good zoom bag.  Maybe Kob is dead-set on lunar though

Im sure the deconstruction pic from early was gs size, since the zoom bag in the pic was only zoom and not max zoom.

And in the newer pictures you can definitly tell its a seethrough max zoom units with pillars and everything in the heel.

That says nothing about the lunarlon though, but it leaves some hope that the front cushioning might be something else then what is seen in the deconstruction pic.

Still hoping its a fat zoom bag.

What I am liking about the max zoom unit (or at least what I think I am seeing) is that it's a thick but relatively low-profile unit.  Should be solid from a heel standpoint at least...
 
In this picture you can see the structur eof the fabric pretty good. Looks like something similar to the Lebron 12. Hopefully its more breathable then that, while beeing as durable and comfy.
 
those on feet pics look nice, still on the fence but leaning toward liking them. all it'll take is a nice colorway cause that purple is almost enough

sure hope there's a mid or high option tho
 
And in all honesty, full length lunar gives a more even impact distribution, and , and he plays in a new set everyday .
 
If you go back to the Kobe VII, in an interview I believe Kobe said he prefers the lunar drop-in for practicing and the zoom setup for game days...

These are a pass for me.
 
Not feeling them like give too much of the 9 EM vibe. Will wait for the elites to surface.
 
I'd **** with these for $150... Most of the 9ems were weak IMO looked like a birote (loaf of bread) the elites were sleeker and better defined again just my opinion
 
Man, no way these purple shoes are actually the finished product Xs... Like others have said, they look like a bottom of the barrel basketball shoe, not what we've come to expect from Kobe's signature line.

I just can't get over how cheap everything looks. The two different heels have to be a joke.
