Wedding Day Kicks

again i'd say it depends on what she is like, your parents, etc. just ask her. my opinion is that if you have to ask, just wear some dress shoes. the jordans will live to see another day. the suit/sneakers thing has gotten a bit played though i do it on occasion.

Yeah it's not that big of a deal if I don't end up wearing them, thought it would be different,   wedding is in June so I'll figure it out,

Not all of my boys still had their Js and I wasn't springing for them so I just got them all Calypso roshes and thats what we rocked.

Wife got her girls some sneakers too but they switched at the reception.

Ehh, I paid for that **** so I be damned if I was gonna let anyone tell me I couldn't be comfortable. Surprisingly, her and her mom were on board so I didn't have to puff my chest much.

. we shall see

I was originally not going to, married 12/27, my kids (2 and 5) definitely wanted to wear their DS concords, and they love to match me. My wife kept saying wear them, but I still kept thinking that it was kind of cheesy. On the day of the wedding I took my Tuxedo lows as a just in case. I ended up wearing them because 1. it would make my kids happy, and 2. I really dont care what the people at my wedding thought, and minister even made a comment, "those are your shoes? tenner-shoes?". It's your day. Do and wear what you want, and if people are that upset with it they're welcome to leave. At least that was my take on it. In fact, my wife wore the Roshe ID's I bought for the ceremony as well, and that's what I switched to after it. Needless to say no one mentioned it after the minister, the world didnt stop, and I'd be willing to bet 75+% didnt even notice. It's your day period.

Sorry for the crappy pic

Maan I slept on those tuxedo Lows! Seen Sombody have them at the gym on feet and was like daaamm they clean now that I seen them on feet also I feel like u could easily make it blend in with a black tux. My Columbia's I'm gonna have to pull off some nextttttt **** lol

If you're on the fence...go buy suits or rent tapered, slim tux's so the shoe doesn't look funny over the usual penguin opening that most rentals have.

Dude's suit is on point with the Columbia's...

I feel bad for you.  I knew I'd wear Jordans on my wedding day before I even met my wife I married.  If you're going through a "phase" of being a sneaker head than you aren't really a sneaker head, you're a hype beast and are just collecting shoes to be trendy.  If you want to be a goose and fly with the flock and wear a plain black tux with a white shirt and black shoes and be hum drum and uneventful, go for it, there's plenty of followers out there for you to mimic.
Exactly.

Ultimately, do what YOU want to do. If you wanna wanna follow the status quo and go the black/white tux and plain black dress shoes be my guest. If you wanna rock an all white tux with some grapes or concords, do it. But do it because YOU want to. Not because it's "the right thing to do" or because that's what your parents want, or what other people will think or because your hypebeast friends tell you too. The most important thing is making the decision based off of what YOU think and what YOU want. Forget everyone else.

Personally, I'll definitely think about it. The last thing I wanna be in this life is ordinary. What's point of a plain jane black and white wedding? It's YOUR wedding so it should be a representation of YOU, not tradition. So I'm still undecided of WHAT I'll wear but ultimately it will be what I want.

I gotta feeling that I'll rock the traditional wingtips when marriage happens for me, but then break out the space jam lows for the reception. Would be a nice collabo effort.

11s are typical for those who are into snekaers and decide to wear them on their wedding day.

Anyone wear something other than an XI?

I wore an ID pair of Kobe 9s. I wasnt sure about the color with it not matching perfectly but ended up looking good with it.

Had my best man bring my crisp WC4s just in case

I rocked dress shoes for the ceremony, then switched to aj1 navy phats for the reception. Colors were grey and navy.
