This douche is trying to rip me off. eBay Buyer trying to lie. I see where this is going.

Quite long story but please bear with me I need some insight.

Selling my 09 space jams on ebay (i know big mistake), deadstock, bnib ,mint w/ original box, all that.

I was selling other shoes also -- I sold my XI gammas at the same time I sold my space jams. 

Anyway.  They both were delivered today.  I got postivie feedback from the Gamma buyer.  But I get a message from my spacejam buyer (call him bob)

Bob's first message:  The shoe label size sticker isn't on the box. what happened?

me:  Are you sure, please check the box. The pictures in the auction show the sticker present

Bobs second message: its not there.  The box isn't the same. Where's the hole?

(At this point im like, ohhhh **** you gotta be ******* kidding me)

me:  Are you telling me that there is no sticker, and the box isn't the same? (At this point, im wondering if this is his first pair of 11's and the outersleeve and inner plastic **** is just confusing him, so I enlighten him on the pieces of the box)

Him:  I know what the box looks like I have other 11's

Me:  Well I am just telling you I shipped the exact shoes in the picture and the exact box.  I also sold my gammas that also delivered to their recipient and got there safe and sound, so you should know I wouldn't do anything foul. Please send me pictures of what you received.

He hasn't responded since then.

Couple things about him:

-He states that the sticker was missing FIRST.  But if the outer box was missing, wouldn't that have been the VERY FIRST THING HE NOTICED?

-He has 100% feedback, but has no activity since February 2014

-He tried to make me paypal invoice him (cancel the auction and send him an invoice outside of ebay) prior to winning the auction.  And told me I could "avoid fees this way".  I ignored.

So obviously this guy is gonna try to rip me off. What the hell do I do at this point?  I heard the horror stories about sellers getting ripped off from buyers.  

I know he is going to try to return them and send back some fakes. So I will NOT agree to a return.

Please help. What do I do from here? He hasn't responded but I want to get ebay involved quick as possible.

Y don't u just return da money after he returns the shoe.

Buy a go pro next time and document .....

if he files a claim requesting a partial refund tell him no, you'll only do full refunds so he has to ship the shoes back. If he sends you something different, you'll get to keep your money, if he sends the shoes back you get the shoes back and can sell them somewhere other than ebay. If he doesnt file anything...then he doesn't file anything

Does it work like that?  The funds haven't cleared yet, and they clear this saturday.  Wouldn't they freeze the funds if he opens a dispute?

That's a f**** shame if I have to do that! WTF!  

If ebay can sit here and side with this dude given the fact that he:

-hasn't had ANY activity on his account since february, and buying my shoes was the first thing hes done since then

-tried to get me to paypal invoice him prior to winning the auction (which is against ebay policy) and I have a record of it, since he sent the message through ebay

-Is blatantly lying since his descriptions of what was missing didn't make sense.

Theres is no way this can be real life

eBay doesn't care about videos. Trust.

All they care about is keeping buyers happy. OP, take that L and tell him once you receive the exact same shoes back, you'll refund.

Or cancel all cards and bank accounts associated with your eBay and Paypal accounts so that when they go to take back the money you're gonna owe, they're assed out like baboons.

I bet money this kid just wanted your box. Hes gonna send em back minus lable and outter box. I know you have an option to file if the returned item is not the same but I dont know how in depth rhey will investigate that. Id call paypal and express your concerns and see what they suggest you di

Another one of these threads.. People need to give up selling shoes on the bay it's to risky.. Sometimes you will deal with these kind of folks ..

tell him you'll only do a return minus shipping costs if the barcode and priduction numbers on the inside of the shoes match 100% with the shoes you sent him.

even if you don't have those pics, call his bluff. 

I don't get why people make up such elaborate stories if they wanna scam the seller. All they have to do is tell Ebay you sent them a box of rocks and it's game over, regardless of how much proof you think you have. It's scary how easily this can be done. I'd never sell shoes, or anything of value over ebay, considering all the buyer has to do is say that you sent a box with worthless contents inside. Max I'd sell would be something like 40 dollars.
