Harden's been the best offensive player, and some people still want him cut?

The hate is so strong.
yeah no they wouldn't.

No one on else on the roster gives you the combination, of size, shooting ability and passing.

and Fiba play is extremely physical on the perimeter, he's not getting any special treatment, he's good at drawing fouls. like many great scorers before him.
Serious question, with cognizant effort what's the ceiling on Beard's defense?
Think of like a Ben Wallace/Gary Payton/Dennis Rodman/'88 Jordan hybrid.

But better.

If he only put forth cognizant effort.

he was projected to be a good defender coming out of ASU, he was solid at times in OKC.

My guess is it's his lack of conditioning thats preventing him from being an elite two way player, when he had to guard lebron in those finals his offense went in the tank.

He's always carried a little to much weight, even at the combine his body fat was a tad high.

I agree with Rose, Curry, Harden, Gay, Davis.

Team USA usually goes with a small ball 4 and it shouldn't change now. I don't think Faried should start. He's better utilized as an energy guy off the bench.

Kyrie
Klay
Faried
Cousins

The 4 off the bench. 9- man rotation

Plumlee
Drummond
Derozan

Should get the spot minutes

Switch Cousins and Plumlee and you're good. Cousins hasn't been that great, and he was exceptionally bad against Puerto Rico

Plums has played well in the scrimmage and every exhibition game yet the hate continues lol

Yea. Cousins was lucky to have made the team after that Puerto Rico performance, but that's not enough, people want him in the rotation too

Yea because a couple fouls in one exhibition game is the deciding factor on making the team

Cousins is the best big man on the team

srs

The best big man on a team that has Anthony Davis?

You have to be a Sac fan.

*oh, sees Avy

Explains it

Yep, dead srs. Cousins > Davis.   You are probably just riding the national media Unibrow hype train. Probably don't watch either guy play very much...........

But there is no denying that Anthony Davis with his athleticism and shot blocking is better suited for the FIBA game. i have no problem with him starting and playing more minutes on this particular team.

Stop it. cmon b

Plumlee arguably played better than Drummond and Cousins in these exhibition games.

Doesnt matter how his NBA career is, he's been helping this team more than those two.

- Faried has earned a starting spot IMO. He does so many of the hustle plays / little things that go unnoticed but in reality its so valuable

I liked how all the big men made the team, we need depth there and its really easy to get in foul trouble in international play

Per Coach K, Kyrie and Rose may alternate starts throughout the tournament. Interesting.
Yet another questionable decision from K. Pick a rotation & stick with it.

I can't wait for Popovich to take over eventually :smh:

What do you mean "yet another"? You basing it off this year's roster, which he's had to cobble together and experiment with more lineups than he'd like to? Or off his entire tenure as coach?

Also, while Pop would be great as a coach for the program, we're past that point. He's not coaching Team USA. The next tourney he could coach would be 2019. He'll be 70 and retired.
