eBay scammer trying to get me AGAIN

So I sold an extra pair of my Lebron KC's.  Dude gets them and says they are not authentic and have been used and have "water damage" to the suede.  I shipped with the receipt, and took detailed pics of the shoes.  Also, I took pics of the inside of the shoe barcode for my own reference, in case he ships back fakes.  Even though I said "no refunds," am I basically screwed and have to get him to ship it back.  Also, has anyone ever dealt with not getting the same item back, as I think this dude is trying to scam me and will try to ship back fakes, b/c I know the shoes I shipped were 10000% legit.

Reseller? Sorry, no pitty for you.

:smh:

dude got his jersey back and didnt even apologize or say thanks

freakin scum bag

that's messed up. :smh:

I had a kid send me fake black cat 4s after I sent him legit ones he just switched the box.

Luckily he was in cali and I got his phone number from ebay..called the crib and his mom answered.. This was years ago I was different...I straight up told her tell her son stop the ******** or I'm sending my boys to that address ...and I would have to

Kid calls me back sound like 16 years old..begging me to take the money back.
I told him to drop the case right now which he did..

So damn petty

Had something similar happen., It wasnt that much money but moreso the principle. I sold a jersey on ebay back in November last year. Come January I see my PayPal is negative. A buyer filed a chargeback over a jersey he bought from me.

I'm in Cali he's in Denver. I send him an email telling him to please cancel the transaction because I would be in Denver for the broncos chargers playoff game and that id make a stop while there to either get my money or jersey back. I got no response.

I look up the email on his PayPal on Facebook nothing shows up. I ended up doing a search of his name on Facebook next and I find the dudes page and he's wearing the jersey I sold him in his default pic.

His place of employment and college he was currently attending were both available for me to see. I called his job and asked to speak to him. When he got on the phone I told him "hi I'm the guy you filed a fraudulent credit card chargeback on" he was stuttering and shocked. I just told him that if he cancelled the chargeback he'd never hear from me again and it would done with. If he didn't cancel it, id call his job back and let them know why Im calling for him and I would contact his school as well with proof of what he did. I got the chargeback cancelled but it just pissed me off that people can be so underhanded and shady like that looking for a cheap easy come up and thinking they can get away with it because a persons a few states away.

I was tempted to call his job and school back afterwards to try and get him fired just because i was mad about the chargeback but I let it go.

Damn though at that situation with zyzz and the Kobe jerseys. That dude who made the thread about zyzz is a scumbag. I seen him posting in the nba jersey thread. He's defenitely a dude people should avoid doing business with.

crazy situation :smh:

Like I was saying in the other thread though you shouldve felt something was off and avoided doing business with him..I could feel it just in the way he was posting.

I was saying the same thing
I think I do remember that story about you finding the guy. Crazy how he filed a chargeback and had your jersey on as a profile pic

Yeah. Pretty grimey. It was a freakin Carson Palmer raiders jersey too which is the funny part about it.

That chargeback stuff pisses me off though. All my ebay auctions for sneakers now have a disclaimer talking about how legal action will be pursued against anyone who tries to file a chargeback.

If someone's going to scam their going to scam regardless, but my take is they'll be more reluctant to try someone who's aware about chargebacks and makes it evident in their listing.

Yeah not a bad idea. At the sane time it might intimidate new buyers who have no clue about anything and tend to spend the most money.

I don't mind missing out on a few sales if it ensures avoiding chargebacks.

Some of my most difficult buyers have been with sneaker related sales on ebay. I'm going to assume they were younger dudes and more immature but I've had more then my share of difficult buyers sneaker wise so I've just taken a more hardline stance, most likely at the expense of losing a few potential buyers though.

What hardline stance is it that you ensue on buyers?

Just curious because I'm planning to unload my collection in the upcoming months but am being lazy and iffy about it.

I just include in the listing description that im aware of how some people will buy an item only to file a credit card chargeback and that doing that is a crime and legal action will be taken against anyone who tries it.

In my opinion seeing that in a listing deters potential scammers because it shows the seller knows what's up. If I was trying to get over on someone id prefer someone more unaware as opposed to someone who's aware of scammers and what not.

@Cedric Ceballos   Damn man, glad you didn't let the scammer get away with it.  I think he's just having buyer's remorse b/c even though I provided the receipt and offered to provide credit card statements to show where I purchased the shoe, he claims they are fake.  I also took pics of the inside of the shoe label to make sure it's the same UPC codes.  But I think if I find out they aren't the shoes I shipped I will take the route of calling him up and looking him up, this ain't cool and I'm sure I'm not the first one he probably tried this with.  Thanks for the advice.

a little paranoid imo. I use it all the time and have never had anyone file a claim on me. worst I had was someone purchase labs off me from niketalk, leave a positive review and two days later start accusing me of selling used sneakers for who knows what reason. he didn't file any sort of claim though (better not have, I have his address )

People have been scammed on NT

People have been scammed during meet ups

Nothing is full proof

wait..so @Zyzz is a scammer? :nerd:
Well I believe everything on the internet, and a random guy called him one without any prior back up data, so I'm leaning towards yes

I got scammed on a pair of bhm 3s

One time only time
One time too many..

I came in to say "why make this a thread"

And now I'm intrigued...

SCAMMERS KNOW SCAMMERS BRUH

wait..so @Zyzz
 is a scammer?  :nerd:

no...

if you saw the original thread the guy called me a scammer even when i gave him the USPS receipt with all the info he needed. he called me a scammer and was acting shady before the jersey was even supposed to be delivered.

i went to the post office for him and they were no help. I told him about 20 times to call the post office but for some "reason" he never called or wanted to call. I offered to go to the post office again then he told me he didnt care he was making a scammer thread. Of course no one took his side

i have better things to do than to scam someone on a site im on every single day of the year. I even returned him his jersey (which was too big for him) and took the loss and he most likely scammed me as others suggested as well.

dude receives his jersey back and doesnt even send me a PM saying thanks or anything :rolleyes

patheitc.
