^ There's been a bit of turmoil within the Super Eagles as of late. It all kind of came to a head when Stephen Keshi resigned just after the WC & then came back & then stepped down again. He alleged there was people with the NFF that were trying to sabotage him & the team's success.

The Super Eagles also lost their Adidias kit sponsor... Some NFF officials & some on the coaching staff were repeatedly seen in old Nike Nigeria gear. Adidas warned them to stop wearing the Nike gear but they kept wearing them & apparently Adidas terminated the deal...

In other news, interesting vid featuring Eric Cantona talking about topics ranging from Immigration, racism in sport, & the rise of extremism. He's got a new doc coming out called Football and immigration – a 100 years of common history. I always appreciate listening to the things he talks about.

Bundesliga's tribute vid to Junior Malanda. RIP...

Hannibal is starting to "show his teeth"... :smh:

Starting at the 1:55 mark, Hannibal is caught up to his usual antics like insulting Atleti's Jose Gimenez's mother...

Translation:

Suarez: Josema! Your mother’s c***/motherf*****!

Gimenez: Hey you pushed me first.

Suarez: I pushed you, I didn’t hit you. I only pushed you, you son of a b****. Your mother’s a wh*

Tomorrow's game should be very interesting. Another "test" if you will to see if Barca/Messi can play at a high level against better competition.

Johan Cryuff: Ronaldo didn't deserve Ballon D'Or

Johan Cruyff has questioned the fact Cristiano Ronaldo has won the Ballon d'Or for the last two years, writing in De Telegraaf: "It's quite clear that this is a FIFA award that I can't take seriously."

Real Madrid star Ronaldo took the award for the 2014 World Player of the Year at the ceremony in Zurich earlier this month, finishing comfortably ahead of Lionel Messi and Manuel Neuer.

Ronaldo won the Copa del Rey and Champions League last season but had a disappointing World Cup with Portugal, and Cruyff questioned the result, which was decided by the votes of international coaches and captains as well as selected journalists.

"At the highest level of football, individual and collective talent needs to be combined," he wrote in his column for the Dutch newspaper in quotes translated by AS. "So for the second year running, it's ridiculous that the award has been given to a player that has not played in any exceptional manner and only won a few titles."Former Ajax, Barcelona and Netherlands star Cruyff suggested Germany midfielder Toni Kroos -- who was also not among the three finalists for the 2013 award -- would have been a more deserving recipient in both years.

Kroos, who now plays alongside Ronaldo at the Bernabeu, played a key role in Germany's World Cup success, and had helped Bayern Munich to success in the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal and Champions League a year earlier.

"Two years ago Bayern won all the titles they could have and the award was given to Ronaldo instead of Toni Kroos or any other member of that Bayern Munich side," Cruyff said.

"In 2014, Kroos was instrumental in Germany winning the World Cup in Brazil, and despite that he wasn't even among the three finalists. At the same time Cristiano Ronaldo was just a spectator at the tournament in Brazil."It's quite clear that this is a FIFA award that I can't take seriously."

I'd understand if Cruyff was campaigning for Neur but Kroos?

Look I love Cruyff. He's my favorite of the all time greats but he's good for a dumb/outlandish quote kinda like Jim Brown is here in the States...

By his rational then, Cruyff should give back his BdO from '74. He failed to win the WC that year but did manage to win La Liga while runner up Franz Beckenbauer won he Bundesliga, the CL, & the WC... So maybe he should hand his award over to Franz rather promptly...

I guess he's just a Cule through & through throwing hate on Ronnie...

The amount of people that have come out and tried to discredit the whole award because Ronnie won it is ridiculous.

Exactly,I wonder what they'll say if keeps up his goal scoring pace and inevitably wins it again next year

On another note, when asked if he's talked to Pogba about joining Real yet Zidane denied it but he did say that the best players usually end up there...

Toni Kroos isn't even the best midfielder on Real Madrid, please man.

Where was Cryuff at when Messi was winning the Ballon D'Or that year he didn't win any trophies? Or in 2010 when Spain won the World Cup and Argentina was terrible?

I don't have a problem with his argument, if that's the way he judges the best player in the world - that's great, shout out to Fabio Canavarro in 2006. But for gods sake keep your argument consistent man. Where was Cryuff at all those years?

They really should have a separate award for keepers, the way the B'dor is set up I doubt a keeper will ever win.

Fifa owes Ronaldo a couple Ballon D'ors after robbing him of a few and giving them to Messi

Hey guys I figured I'd ask this here.....

I'll be going to Europe for 3 weeks in April :smile:hat) and my cousin and I are trying to catch the Manchester Derby for my first ever soccer match. I'm already a MU member and submitted for the raffle. I want to know how good are my chances to actually be selected for seats? I'm thinking if we do get selected, my cousin and I probably will not be seated together?

All of that has made me look into their hospitality VIP packages which is roughly around $500 but at least you get secure seats in the NW corner, open bar, 3 course meal etc at one of their facilities. I frankly could care less about a VIP package, but if it's the only way to get guaranteed seats I might have to bite the bullet and splurge.

Thanks NT futbol Brahs

Not sure if anyone is watching the U-20 Concacaf tournament but its been pretty good. Mexico looks tough but the US golden squad has underperformed.

Im just happy my boys from Guatemala have been taking care of business.
Their goals have been awesome too.
Vs Aruba

Vs the USA

Somebody needs to put hands on Suarez already. Or kick him or whatever soccer players do when they scrap.

I can't wait to the next Classico (March 22nd)...

Hopefully Pepe & Ramos won't be hurt or suspended for accumulation of yellows. They should have a field day with Hannibal.

Well, I can say Zubi did one thing great during his time at the club... He got 2 outstanding keepers in Claudio Bravo & ter Stegen... :rolleyes

It's a shame though because Zubi is such a club legend during his time as keeper.
