I could just as easily say he didn't get the TAMU job from his time at OU. Coaches take things from everywhere. It's silly to say he learned it all at OU.

If that's the angle you're taking, what does it say about stoops (the teacher) if the last time he played Sumlin (the student), his team got washed?

It says he taught him well. From 03-07 Sumlin was on OU's staff, then he went to Houston where he was recruited to coach because of his success at OU. He did well there and it got him the job at A&M.

ESPN going full ESPN with this latest Jameis Winston "scandal".

What he did was stupid, but c'mon now.

Like @DaComeUP mentioned Jameis is making it too easy for the usual detractors.

ESPN is trying to avoid talking about the NFL with this story about Winston. Rog probably put in the call to ESPN after Dwyer got arrested.

I hear you but Sumlin was apart of the most prolific offenses in CFB history at OU, setting records left and right. He can work with it, but it wasn't nearly successful or executed as well. He didn't get the Houston job because of his time at Purdue.

Idk bro, that offense he was a part of at Purdue was pretty damn successful. But there absolutely is no question that OU was his launching pad. Certainly being around guys like Wilson and Long helped him perfect the offense he was already developing and already working with.. But I also think its pretty far off to say that the offensive product that you see on the field for TAMU is all due to "what he learned at OU"

:smh:

Gotta ween yourself off the ESPN bro. I rarely tune in for hours at a time unless there is a game on. All that other stuff I'm cool on.

Except for guys who genuinely entertain me, like Bomani and Lebatard

Top50 WR Damarkus Lodge decommits from #Aggies, #OU #Baylor #TCU #LSU in mix http://bit.ly/1ATeGQY

He supposedly came away from last week's visit concerned about the depth chart and how much TAMU spreads the ball around to their receivers.

And Coach Wallerstedt must have done something pretty bad for Coach Bro to fire him for what is rumored to be off-the-field reasons.

Just read the same thing re: Lodge, want's to be the IT receiver and start from Day 1. Was concerned about A&Ms depth chart and his early playing time. He won't get it at OU, A&M or Baylor. Sounds selfish and could be trouble in the locker room.

ESPN is a JOKE. Bomani Jones is cool, but other than that unless my team is playing I don't even turn it on.

Never seen a TV channel turn to ish so quickly since MTV (once they just played reality tv shows instead of music videos).

 there setting themselves up for embarrassment if they dont shut them down. Dallas calling one of them out for there 4.6 speed
