It literally states in the Bible that homosexuality is abominable. Leviticus. I don't think a Cristian should just selectively choose what verses to follow and what not to follow. You claim it's the word of God, follow the whole thing.

see but that's where you are wrong. Not everyone that is religious can put things into perspective. They just see things black and white (Bible) and their teachings of rights and wrongs. Jews, Muslims, Catholics, etc. All have extremist that well disowned for their beliefs.

He stated so ur disowning me when in fact they didn't say that
Just that they weren't gonna support him
Disowning and supporting are 2 different things
And if he a grown man I can respect his fam for at least basically saying
That they ain't gonna support him they didn't say they would disown him
Also the kid seems to be a prick for one recording and posting this vid
And whatever he as saying about his dad on Facebook
U dont talk about ur fam to strangers
Now I will say that I don't agree with the fams views
And that they went overboard in the video
But everyone is entitled to their own opinion
And he can't get mad if his fam don't approve
As long as he happy with himself that's all that matters
BUT honestly I can't front idk how I would take it if I found out my son was gay
Like I have nothing wrong with gay people and believe they have the same rights
And all that but my initial reaction i would be upset
Not mad or anything but just like damn my name won't live on
U know how it is and how u want ur son to get the yambs and all that
But after the initial shock it wouldn't matter as long as my son is happy

Son was corny as hell for recording it though. He got the reaction he wanted. Its obvious he wanted to stir up some controversy in the household and make it a public display.
Then pops whooped on dat ***. Son was exhausted by the end of the video.
Should have just kept it private and told his parents straight up. No video, no back and forth. Just "Ayo, I'm gay, b." and moved out if they said move out.
Moms didn't say she didn't love him anymore. Its clear she was disappointed, but she just said he had to bounce; She didn't disown him. He could have been like "aight...."

I think in alot of places in the south this is a normal reaction (not the physical stuff)
But it seems to me that families usually get over it eventually.
He shouldnt have recorded it though....his family will def see it and it would have went alot smoother without watever happens after that.

But is it fair to make a 20 year old move out if he POSSIBLY has nowhere to go just because he's gay? That's a bit extreme to me., as was recording the video.
