Somebody Threw a Brownie at Knicks Executives During a Dinner With Draft Prospect Kevon Looney

It's still a little bit unclear who the Knicks are targeting in the NBA Draft this year. But one thing is for certain: At least one of their fans is not going to be happy if they end up with former UCLA star Kevin Looney.

According to Looney, he was eating dinner with a group of Knicks executives in New York City recently when someone at a nearby table picked up a brownie and threw it in their direction. He didn't say who it hit, but Looney did confirm that it hit a Knicks staff member:

He also said that, after it happened, Derek Fisher approached the person who threw the brownie and had that person thrown out of the restaurant:

If Russell goes 2nd that means Mudiay probably goes 3rd. Which means the Knicks would be picking 4th with no PG to choose from, and likely take "safe pick" Jahil over Porzingis. This is my least favorite possible outcome for tonight.
 
bruh, youre even more delusional if you want zinger to play center in the nba. just bc hes tall, doesnt make him a center. hes going to get DESTROYED unless he adds at least 50 pounds.
 
I think Phi takes Okafor if he doesn't go 2nd. Either as a trade piece, or b/c Embiid isn't healing correctly.

and GR8 is crazy for wanting Porzingas. He has bust written all over him, which wouldn't be a bad thing if he was with Jayden James or something.

WCS weighs 15 more pounds and is seen as the dream defensive center. Tyson weighs 10 pounds more. Get the Euro bias out of your head. I am convinced that if Zinger was American we wouldnt even bring this up. The kid can add some muscle, but the league isnt about bulk anymore.

Protect the rim. That is the key. Porzingis can do this, Okafor can not. Porzingis is 7'2 with a 7'6 wingspan. That, to me, is a center. If the Knicks draft 6'9 bad defensive Okafor, IMO they still have to go out and find a rim protector which would clog up our front court, similar to what we did with Melo/Amare/Tyson. And that is without even bringing up the fact that Porzingis can help spread the floor offensively as a ******* 7'2 guy. Unreal ceiling.

Okafor is 6-11
 
Rim protectors don't mean much in the NBA anymore.

Look at the last 4 NBA champions.

2012- Heat had no rim protecting Center
2013- Again practically the same team
2014- Spurs had Duncan, but they won that series because of their shooting and motion offense
2015- Motion offense mixed with small ball which killed Cleveland's big attack

You need to go with the guards in this draft
 
Reading strong speculation that Boston will throw everything they have at Philly to take Okafor at #3, if LA takes D' Lo @ #2.
 
If it Ain't Russell, it will have to be Zinger.

That's the way I'm going, that's what I want. Think Phil is on board as well.
 
i had to block that dude. hes getting on my nerves with the zinger caping. dude plays nothing like an nba center, yet just bc hes tall, he thinks he can play. what a moron. go a head and write a 9 page thesis about me.

His skill set is impressive, but I think it's more of an "in the moment" thing right now.
 
best case scenario is we somehow end up with Jah, our future center & franchise cornerstone

Nah all good. You are entitled to your opinion. Just think your point of view is clouded and off-based.  I knew my Zinger hype wasnt going to be popular in here. I dont ******* care. I think he is a stud prospect. And I am usually very anti-Euro myself.

"Knicks fan syndrome" is to actually have European players no matter what instead of looking at them with an open mind, because all you can think about is Fred Weis. But OK then.

Guess the thousands of Knicks fans who will likely Boo Porzingis more than any player in NBA Draft history if the Knicks select him, dont have "Knicks fan syndrome." However, Phil Jackson would. Yall are unbelievable sometimes,
