Destiny Thread (Bungie) - 9/9/14

I need to remember to bring my LDR as well to try this. You think it can shoot those huge rocks like that though? I know you can shoot through walls and stuff, but for some reason I feel like we won't be able to shoot through those rocks.

I was just telling Tek and those guys about the probability of the different glove and helm combos. I remembered Biggie had some crazy chance on nailing them all perfect. Like 4% and over 2k combos or something I think I remember him saying

I got a crit on hive spawn orbs pair and a grenade kills on hive pair for my warlocks. I still need to put the 21 shards into the grenade pair for the Warlock. I actually have another pair of crit on hive pair that are all intellect (the others were int/discp) that I had leveled just to get my alt warlock to level 31 with them, but now I don't need them since I am going to use the grenade ones since Warlocks use the grenades so much.

Titan has crit chance on hive perk gloves.

I'm actually lucky I got full intellect gloves with Hive Spawn orb on crit hit and Increased Melee Speed. Best combo as a swordbearer I could ask for.
 
Whats the best and fastest way to level up a new character? I just started my second warlock and I want to rank him up fast as possible.

Level up until you can get bounties. Do the bounties and public events each day you can. Run the strikes when you get the bounty to do so as well. With the bounties and public events you should be able to do it within 1-2 days of playing. About (6-9 hours) if you are really trying to power them through and get them leveled quickly.

Yea I lucked out with full int gloves on the grenade pair and it has grenade damage reduces melee cooldown as well.

The crit gloves, one has full int with increased melee speed and the other is int/discp with grenade damage reduces melee cooldown as well.

Story missions and do bounties in between and public events. 6 hours play time is sufficient.
 
Predicting tonight Frost and Biggie get their helms. Wright and myself get our Hunger of Crotas, someone gets a Crux and Bos and Fatal both get their Bjallerhorns.

Yes, if you can get pieces to have like +120-+150 then you can easily attain the 271 needed to max it out. Or the +70-+80 with a discpline/int mix per armor piece.

HM Crota requires a team that is

Not stingy on synths (you will be using a lot at times if you aren't lucky with drops)
Has a proper weapon loadout that is maxed at 331
Works as a team
Listening to directions
Skilled enough to stay alive and perform their assigned tasks because no one is going to carry you
Has enough luck that the glitches don't come out during your attempts

That last one is the absolute worse. Our group has wiped enough where that last one has killed plenty of great runs.

man, we tried to have a runner with the sword and get bombard crota with rockets but we couldnt get it together. timing was just bad and one dude was a jerk... we picked him up off the streets lol

Maxed out weapons are a must on HM Crota ...just as maxed out weapon were a must for HM Atheon.

Bungie half assed making this raid, so in order for people to not get tired of it, they went ahead and made everything into a level 33 bullet sponge where it takes forever to kill stuff. 

Crota encounter is all about timing, precision and teamwork. Sword holder has a majority of the responsibility, but if the team and the sword holder aren't in sync, then precious time is wasted and you don't get enough hits in. It's a simple encounter once you get timing and logistics down. Then again, the Bungie glitches ruin many a good run. 
 
I still am unable to complete HM Crota. Have been one swing away 3 times now. 

The most flawless run we had was stopped when Crota started to bend the knee but popped back up for no apparent reason and swiped the sword carrier.

I know this feel more than once. The worst last night was I jumped up on the platform while I was invisible and was waiting for DPS rockets to come in to kill Crota and all of a sudden he murks me one sword swipe while I was invisible. There were no words...
 
sounds like im just toast then.... and i only have been getting radiant energy too since i got raid boots a few weeks back. im up to like 15 or so radiant energies and nothing to use it on :rofl:

xbox or ps4? i could sure use a leveled up, experienced person to help me on the crota part on the xbox........ someone that has cork lebrons.....

I run on PS4 bro. If I was on Xbone, I'd get in with you. Them Corks might be leaving the nest soon though. You'll see the listing if they do.

What is worse is when Crota has no shield, starts to drop, pops up and 1-shots the sword bearer, and then drops back to his knee
