Now you are on the part I am on where you need to get 200 kills in the weekly nightfall with only the fusion rifle
Yesterday was the first time since Nov. 1st, he usually sells them every 3 days but he decided he was gonna wait extra long this time
Now I can finish my pocket infinity bounty
Hopefully next week's nightfall won't be the cabal at least.

If you need to cheese Aetheon then you shouldn't be doing Aetheon. He is a very easy boss once you get the mechanics down. Now the gatekeeper is another story. That one is tough as hell.
Just an edit. I don't want to seem like an elitist but after Zero, Wright, and myself spent hours 2 weeks ago trying the new cheese and failing miserable because you need so much to go perfectly, we realized that if we spent about 1/5 of that time trying the encounter the legit way, we would have done it. And so we did, killed him twice on HM within 24 hours. Just put in the work and find a strategy that works. We have shared a lot of out insight and the tips we used.

i have no problem with people cheesing atheon...as long as they know how to legit beat him too. its frustrating that level 29s are so useless on HM in the raid because they dont understand atheon basics, their role, nor the fundamentals of the game itself. however i agree, its much easier to just legit beat atheon than spend an hour trying to cheese him

He only saying those that don't know the mechanics of the fight. Those level 29/30s that don't know about the different time portals, cleansing or going to the middle and making the shield for everyone.
Let's not forget... How long were they in there just dying in that video in order to get their super fully activated? Once it was activated, did they get it done on the first attempt? If not then they had to start over. Spend 1-2 hours of that for a 30 second cheese. Teams out here doing full VoG clears in that time.

Yea I'm with Tek, just learn the fight. The fight is bugged a bit but there are ways to overcome almost all the bugs minus the Minotaur coming back to life.
Please believe me that putting in time to learn the fight by tinkering the strategy you'll spend so much less time long term than just trying to chees him. Plus it's much more rewarding.

That's what I do, problem is, as soon as that thing from above appears that's when the first wave of Wizards appear, I bounce and when that thing disappears, so do the Wizards, even if Im shooting at them, I did this for like 30 mins and said f it, just because the Wizards NEVER stay.
