**Official Kendrick Lamar Thread 4th Studio Album ''DAMN.''Out Now**

The album with the cover depicting a bunch of shirtless black people standing on the White House lawn, leering over the corpse of a white man, drawing heavy parallels to the postcards they used to make in the South of white people posing and smiling around negroes hanging from trees, ISN'T about race?
It is most definitely about race...but I don't think we need to be the ones telling others that it isn't made for them.

FACTS

See the difference in how we view things.

this dude bringin up Section.80 like you putting me on to somethin. lol. Believe it or not some of us black people have fathers that put us on to what's goin on. Kendrick even references that on the album.

Kendrick would like to thank all you white people for your money.

Yeah I agree.

And for the record, the Jim Carrey comment, while hilarious, was somewhat over the line. That's like a white dude calling me Eddie Murphy and telling me to go shoot some hoops and buy some Kool Aid

Again, half the album Kendrick preaches caring about more than money, yet you make it just about money. Therefore missing another theme of the album.... Smh

Might as well rename this thread theead, it's become black bs white... Smh.

No but really? Are Asians and Mexicans allowed to listen to this album? Since you obviously get to choose who can.

Trying to make a point by being ignorant as **** yourself?
Good job.

Negroes is angry. This shouldn't be new to y'all. But beneath his anger and anti-white bias he has a legitimate point

This reminds me of a few years ago, I was working at best buy, and a black male aged 35-45 came in asking for me to price match a TV to Wal-Mart for him. I followed procedure and told dude I had to call Wal-Mart to make sure they had it in stock. Dude was already annoyed with me, but I'm not about to discount 100 bucks on a TV we make no money on just to discount it.

I call up wal-mart, the worker on the other line says they don't have it. So I tell him I can't price match the TV.

Dude bought something small so he could do the survey, dude wrote a 2 page essay about how I was racist and treated him that way because he was black and because I assumed he didn't have money to afford the TV and that he was actually a college graduate and working on his masters and then going to get his doctorate.

Homie, you being black has NOTHING to do with me not price matching your TV, IDC if you are white, black, purple, blue, IDC if you are a 10/10 female, I'm not price matching that for you.

Dude was clearly looking for an excuse to pull the race card.

Serious question, why cant we ALL treat people as PEOPLE. Why do we all have to bring race into everything.

If you truly loved yourself the way Kendrick is preaching, you wouldn't be knocking down others for anything, race related or not. Word to track number 1 from Section 80 :smokin

It was actually a reference to this one black comedian. Chris Rock. Maybe you've heard of him.

I don't have a problem with you liking the album. I'm actually proud of you. You're my brotha even if you ain't know it.

I think Kendrick making this album and having other races like it is like MLK introducing a whole side of the world to the teachings of Ghandi. If the only way a white person hears Huey Newtons name is on this album then guess what. THATS PROGRESS

The majority of hip hop consumers have no concern for the community in which we live. They have no investment other than simply being entertained by our GOD given gifts.

These are the same people that was mad at players for wearin shirts for Mike Brown.

This wasn't in the 40s. We all lived through this.

Yea, his point is valid. Album talks about a lot but indeed there is a focal point, and a focal audience. The rest of us are just along for the ride. Not debating that.

Just don't see why there has to be broad generalizations on the opposite end.

This **** funny.

Y'all sensative.

White people always gotta go thru an array of colors. Where do purple people exist?

Dude was clearly looking for an excuse to pull the race card.

black people are STILL fightin for just that. So what's your answer to the question Kendrick proposed to YOU on "Mortal Man"?

You're a hip hop fan. Don't overstep your boundaries this is much bigger than hip hop.

As far as "race card" in case you wernt informed, it's not a game. We're not playing cards. That term is so ****ng stupid and I've yet to met someone of actual substance that uses that term anywhere outside of a joke.

Welp, in outta here. Some of you dudes cosigning this blatant ignorance.

There's a better way to express your opinion.

Don't associate ANYthing I speak about as ignorance. If you uninformed that's a YOU problem not a ME problem.

Don't involve me in Ya worthless commentary.

Chopper. Don't associate my name with that. Not on the computer if you feel that way you gotta address me on that face to face. You can inbox me and we can be men about it.

But don't do that. That's just corny. Cause unless you HAD a Chopper on you, it's no way you would say that **** to me.

Let's be gentleman.

No need for the **** shot unless you wanna take it there. I'm willing to entertain that as counterproductive as it may be.

I'm fresh out.

And if you can't punk me in the street you not gonna type as if you can punk me on the punk *** internet
