it depends on how you look at it. i personally think it's petty to be fighting over trivial stuff like that in the first place.
but if your older and past all that getting into altercations stuff and you live in a conceal carry state like texas, and some younger cat wants to act like a knucklehead and try and fight, i can see the thinking of someone who doesn't feel like getting into an unprovoked fist fight and using his gun.
i wouldn't recommend it in a state like new york because the gun laws are way to strict, but in a state like texas, you could probably get away with it as long as you don't fire excessive shots.
the appointment stuff depends on the barbershop i guess though. i'm not really a fan of "appointments" at a barbershop, its a freakin haircut, not a doctors visit, but like i said, it all depends on the individual location i guess.

Like I said bruh you don't pay attention and I'm sure if I explained it now you'd just say I'm back pedaling despite the posts being right there for you to see.
I simply said skipping don't rock where I'm at and if it's attempted there'd be a fight about it even if the barber was on the wrong side of it. Dude brings up his conceal and carry and I said that don't really make any difference other than a possible higher body count.
With that said I can understand you just feeling you gotta chime in for the sake of it talking about "the point of it" as if you knew what was going on.
But yeah I guess fighting is the extreme and bringing out guns when you're in the wrong is reasonable.

It's not necessairly letting someone skip you if you know the deal from the get go. The barber should tell you they got a scheduled appointment when you walk in so your not waiting around with no clue what's going on and you can come back later or wait it out. Alot of shops have scheduled appointments, im not going to sweat it, as long as I know what the wait is looking like when I walk in.
Maybe its a bk thing though because I've gone to spots in Harlem and in the Bronx where I made an appointment beforehand because I was strapped for time and it was no issues, I'm not really big overall on appointments, but communication is key.
If you walk in the barber shop thinking your next and some dude diddybops in and goes before you I can see how that could rub someone off wrong, but that's on the barber to let you know he got an appointment when you walk in so its no surprises

If a dude got 5 ppl waiting for him and a guy strolls in talking about he called earlier, that dude is usually told to sit down or get his hair cut by somebody else. If the barber aint straight up saying I got somebody coming at so and so or I'm taking a break to eat somebody will get mad and raise up on some " Whoa whoa whoa, I been here since 1...." and if dude talking about his appointment is bold enough to counter that there'd be a fight.

This kinda went past the payment part and has gone on to if you the type to stroll in and expect to get your cut right then and there or the type to see a dude that while you're waiting and let that happen to you.
However, if you call your barber on the reg and skip dudes all the time and he let that fly I can see why you'd want to tip him.

As for that question, I've seen dudes wait hrs for a cut. I've been in packed barbershops with dudes that been there since noon when I come in at 3 or 4 and that got nothing to do with being skipped. Some times you gotta wait.
But **** if you add in behavior like skipping your *** would spend the whole day there (especially if you were next) or risk getting cut by the rookie.

Dude says he skips ppl. So if you use some common sense, the ppl already there waiting would have to wait longer cuz they allowed someone to skip them. What if another skipper shows up? That's another wait and another and another.
If you allow skipping it's conceivable to be waiting hrs for a haircut. Therefore, you shouldn't let ppl skip you.

I just posted how I've always went about haircuts in regards to tipping and then talked about ppl skipping. Cuz it felt super strange to me when I read some other posts. I had to say, this must be some out of town distinction cuz it didn't seem normal.
