Yeah, moves like this make me scoff at Nike for cheaping out. They'll give you premium packaging one year, then drop it the next when they know they already have everyone ready to dig in regardless of the box or any of the extras.

Not to bring another company into it, but there is a reason Apple is number one and many others follow their packaging strategies; they simply treat their customers as valued. Open an Apple device and you will see care put into the whole package, as it's like a gift to their consumers. Remember retro cards, JB used to do it on retro releases and just started again with the Hares. It's all a nice touch/add-in like the DMP pack, and that wasn't even $400

It's just the point of the matter. They add nice packaging to commemorate the unique nature of the release last year, and this year when they repeat it, those shoes get nothing. I just think from a collection standpoint, it would be nice to have this year's release match last year's. Why put VI on the box and theres no VII box? Just looks like any other 2015 JB release.

Why the hell did Niketown Chicago send their back to Nike just to have all the other stores in the country still have pairs left over and available for over the phone orders? They`re full of ****, i promise they are. SMDH.
Guess it was a good thing i got there too late to pickup my c&c i won on the raffle. I ended up buying two pair of N7 and black/red lowtop 13s on the employee discount any dang on way. I was hot tho.......damn Chicago traffic got me there 15 minutes late. smdh.

All Nike's claim that 2015 releases are "remastered" so they needed to increase prices to "justify" the "increase in quality", so they skipped the upgraded box treatment in order to keep the MSRP $250.
AJ6s last year weren't "remastered" so I guess they were able to upgrade the packaging.
Sorry for all the quotation marks. I still don't believe the "remastered" claim 100%, but that's for another thread.

I believe they have to send them back to nike as part of the rsvp/raffle system they are piloting.
They gave us till 7 to pick up our pairs that was a hell of a lot more time than the old twitter rsvp.

LOL @ the quality on these VII's being better than the VI's last year. The VI Championship Pack had far better quality than regular 2014 pairs. Speaking about remastered when the quality and materials went beyond any GR standard for Nike/JB makes remastered a matter of semantics. It's pretty irrelevant here. They skimped on the box and thus IMO gave the 2014 pack a distinguishing aspect beyond the quality of the shoes (which look to be on par, although the VI's still may be better quality).
Just watch, they'll bring them back next year. Kind of like Concord XI > BRed XI > Gamma XI boxes.

pretty sure it was the long con since they prbly knew about 72-10 xi's a few years ago(that box is basically the correct box for the blk/red xi) & the blk/red xi just like mid 1's will get remastered

You just got to keep dialing the number over and over - i eventually got through within 15mins of calling
I would press Option 4 instead of 0 btw - if nobody answers on 0 it goes to voicemail directory
And for those who have never ordered - billing payment is where they will send the shoes, FYI, for those that have their shoes shipped do a different address.

i also ate at NTNY, thanks for the tips. appeciate the love around here. i got my cigars in a size 11. those were the ones i really wanted. i would have picked up the power rangers too, but its end of the month....bills bills bills.
