How much is your car insurance?

Man I'm dreading paying for insurance cuz being a 22 year old male in Brooklyn with a brand new license is bad news

I had a buddy a few years ago who fit the same description as you and I remember him telling me he was paying $1000 every 6 months.

IDK if this mean anything to insurance companies, but he is a black male.
dam that's not even as bad as I thought I remember when I was 18 I mad a bogus account for a quote and got 6000 for 6 months

And it sucks that its possible that race plays a factor in this

im in the 300$ every month .

How do you guys get these rates?! I tried looking for insurance for my dad, came out to be 164 the cheapest (Progressive). He's 47 and the only accident on his record is because of me, and his vehicle wasn't even involved nor him (I was in a vehicle that was involved in the accident, so in Florida they had to put his insurance to cover my expenses since I was only 14 at the time. The driver of the car was supposed to cover my expenses, not my dad). Don't accidents clear up after 3 years though?

Your dad's insurance should be $100 max, what part of FL? Does he own the car or financed?
Exactly what I'm saying, he has 1 red light ticket from 2012, but he's had his license since he was 16. He owns the car, I bought it, but its his car by papers and all. Tampa if it matters, the car is a 1999 Integra coupe.

Integras get stolen every day, b.

Thats why the insurance is so damn high. Also if he lives in a high crime area, that'll tax it moreso.

$194/month full coverage with wawanesa
2014 subaru legacy and 2012 toyota prius
had a dui 4 years ago which doubled my premium at the time, but now it's settled back down a bit

i hate insurance, it's one of those things you pay for and hope you never have to use

For those who don't know, call your insurance company and lower your annual mileage and save money. I saved 30 mnthly on mine.

Just let them know you havent been driving as much due to lifestyle changes tell them the mileage you rack up a yr. They will adjust it and it brings your rate down some.
( Dont do this is you have a dash cam. Not sure if they monitor that.)

What state?

also younger males have higher insurance from what ive heard and i think mine is pretty good for a 24 year old because it even though it cost my parents more money i was listed as a driver on their insurance when i first got my license at 16

It has to due with risk assessment. Even though the GTR is faster, the BMW is probably much more likely to get into a collision forcing the company to pay out.

Something is wrong here. The gtr would be much more than the 328i. The gtr is what at least 100k and bmw max 40k. You can't use the same limits as the Bmw, your pretty much throwing your money, the car away and your life if you get into an accident. an insurance agent will never let you buy that coverage, plus if you can afford a 100k car more than likely you have money so you need higher limits to protect your home, banking accounts, etc in case of a lawsuit.

that, plus the parts may be cheaper and easier to get then the bmw

Dude insurance isn't about how much the car is even though it have some play in the factor

location matters a lot

how easy it is and how cheap it is for body parts and other parts of needed to rebuild

lots of other factors
