I tend to ask a female if there is anything that she feels I need to know before moving forward in a relationship. She can tell me the truth and we can work it out or she can lie and once/if I find out she has know reason to feel a certain way based off my actions and has to deal with the consequences.

It depends on the woman. It usually comes down to the "what are we?" "where is this going?" period. Fortunately, the setting has been perfect during the time that this question comes up.
