Steps for getting a refund

Hey guys I just got a pair of shoes and they happened to be fake, I bought them through Kixify/PayPal and The guy I bought them from said to ship them back to him and he would refund me my money, am I protected if I do this? Should I open a claim? Help would be much appreciated

Go through paypal and open a claim. Take pics as many and make a compelling argument. Put ypur knowledge to the test. Remember its you against him but I habe a feeling you will precail
