OFFICIAL STOCK MARKET AND ECONOMY THREAD VOL. A NEW CHAPTER

Long SUNE gamble. Chart damaged as all hell and they've got debt up the wazoo, but energy seems to be making a nice comeback.

Stay safe

NFLX finally coming back down to earth

GPRO down big two days in a row due to its chip supplier (AMBA) saying demand is going down. Nice of them to throw them under the bus

Wall Street's early rally faded in afternoon trading on Thursday as investors appeared to turn cautious ahead of a key U.S. jobs report, which is expected to figure in the Federal Reserve's decision on when to lift interest rates.

I'm tired of these back and forth BS articles on Yahoo. It's either "investors are optimistic on growth/China fears calm down" or 1 hour later "stocks drop as investors fear of China's decline".

No one has any idea what is going to happen with the market's current volatility.

better off not reading anything and just focusing on the markets themselves. the charts and price action tell you everything you need to know.

What's with this Shmita I'm hearin about? I don't wanna lose any more money

My portfolio is stable right now but struggling to get to where it was at. DIS is still playin around and aint tryna flourish.

I've come to the conclusion the past 2 days that from now on (at least while the market is volatile like this) i'm only going to take 1 or 2 lot to start and add in on confirmation. too often i take my normally size and get stopped out only to see it work a couple of hours later. this way, i can give the stock some room to chop around and if it acts like i anticipated upon entry, i'll add into my traditional size.

any one dabbling about with the robin hood app? I'm new to the market and I'm trying to find out what the best platform to trade on is? After reading through the forum I see a lot of etrade shouts. Any tips would be appreciated pause.

Robonhood is without question the way to go for commission free trading. Even so, I'd still recommend opening up an account with traditional brokerage to gain access to their proprietary analytical tools.

Example: I'll be executing trades (eventually) with RHood, but doing all my technical analysis and research using TDAtrade software.

Fair play. Getting the best of both worlds I guess. Thanks for the advice.

Yeah i use Robinhood currently (first trade of my life was positiveand still is) but i have a TDAmeritrade account thats just sitting there for when i want to buy and hold for many years. It really is simple. Dont let complex terms fool you.
