I think these 3 rap albums could be in debate for best album of the year.

sorry Q got this hands down

if you really sit down and listen to every track its crazy how much detail he put into it

i agree with the whole TDE camp it give GKMC a run for its money
If have to sit down and really think how his track are so detail then they are not that crazy. I dont even have to do that with a Nas track

i agree with OP on all 3 being the best of the yr. Johnny Valiant is slept on, ppl just think he spits fast and thats it. Lyrically hes a beast if you actually listen to his raps

what?

so you didnt listen Outkast albums and enjoy each track

you didnt play College Dropout or The Black Album over and over and hear something that made it sound better and better each time?

Im sorry I dont just skim over albums

if I skimmed over albums I probably wouldnt even mess with Good Kidd Maad City but the fact I sat down and listened to it straight through soon as I bought I feel in love

All great album with tons of replay value with college dropout being number one. But Q album is not on that level of any them albums not even GKMC which is at the bottom of the list. I'm a Q fan but flow is not good enough for me to say ooooo. I'll give it another spin on my flight out today

idk but like Snoop said he is the new version of gangsta rap and what gangsta rap has grown to be

Oxymoron n GKMC is this generations The Chronic and Doggystyle

time will tell

Curren$y - Drive In Theatre
Vince Staples - Shyne Coldchain 2
Travis Scott - Days Before Rodeo

Cilvia Demo = Pinata

I still think BFK is Gibbs best project and Oxymoron sucked compared to Qs other stuff. Ab Souls album was better

Mega album was definitely dope, and I was never a Mega fan. Very relevant music IMO.

Can someone please tell me the appeal of RTJ???

Like who is their audience, what kind of music do yall listen to?..... cuz i couldnt get into it at all

No offense, but Run the Jewels isnt made for people that own cars or have social relationships, right??

Like i cant play it in my car, i cant play it with my girl, and I damn sure cant play it at any type of social gathering.

CADILLACTICA is leaps and bounds better than that album and most of the other albums listed.

These albums made me go out and buy them

Pharoahe Monch
Cormega
Run The Jewelz

I also liked Vince Staples, Stalley and Isiah Rashad

That's like saying people who don't listen to it are people who aren't intelligent, are immature and don't listen to lyrics.

And by your response....

No offense :rolleyes

Lol...no offense taken. So are you saying that its thought provoking music? or that its introspective? Like what about this album is AOTY worthy?
Im fine with that type of response, if that is why people are calling it the album of the year.

I mean who isnt familiar with Killer Mike and what he is about. I know he can spit but at the same time those beats are trash bro... the rhyme patterns, subject matter all become a distraction.
