very decent show IMO. Reminds me more of Da Vinci's Demons than GOT. Looking forward to season 2.

Watched the first two episodes.

Definitely understand the GoT comparisons, but don't really think they're much alike.

Anyway, decent show so far. Will keep watching it.

Just started watching this series. I love historical fictional shows like this. I'm currently on ep 6.

I feel like Marco has been evading death since ep 1. Dude is mad reckless :lol:

Can't believe what the chancellor did to his niece's feet. :x
I had to stop watching for a few days after I seen that.


I been had yellow fever since elementary, but now it's at an all time high. Blue Princess can get it all day phew.[emoji]128549[/emoji]

don't be fooled by the big budget and the lush landscapes ... season 1 was weak ... i don't care how much money you throw at something, if the story is wack, then the show will likely be weak ...

Agreed! show was SUPER weak. I heard nt raving about it and watched the first 5 episodes before I got bored to death. And I'm a history junkie but nothing in this show was moving. Went to check the reviews on meta critic thinking they agreed with nt and the reviewers got it right.

Just started s2, finished the 1st episode, then the 2nd and stopped. 

Went back and read a season 1 recap ep by ep.

OKAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY now this is making sense agains.

So, Ahmad slept with his Mother on the Silk Road, unknowingly, and the strangled her afterwards. No wonder he is into some strange ish.
When she started humming that song (the same one he had Mei-Lin hum to him as she bound him and f'ed him in the ***) he asked "where do you know what song from", and she said "I wrote it for my baby boy". 

He was the baby boy........!!!!?????? :nerd:

emperor's beta looking son has some weak facial hair.

Looks like Marco's women are all getting wifed up.

I respect benedict wong for having to get fat as hell for this role. Dude is out of breath walking 2 steps or if he talks too fast he struggles for air.
 
Dude's acting chops are insanely good too.
