Aqua 8s Black Friday 2015

Now was that mold spores picture on the shoe inserts for the aquas real or was guy just trolling?

Although the shoe is iconic, I can understand folks not liking it. However, there is no other Shoe/Apparel corporation, Adidas or otherwise, posing any competitive threat to Nike. None. Not even close. They are not worried about any shoe not selling out day one or their retailers having to take 20% off of that sitting shoe 6 months from now in order to move units. I posted this in the Yeezy thread to bring folks back to reality. Fiscal 2015 will look similar.

Nike/JB is printing money. Just because a sneaker doesn't sell out day one doesn't mean it isn't successful. All those units will eventually sell. In fact Jordan Brand retro's are most likely a small percentage of their actual business and they use it mostly for marketing and brand awareness.

Adidas / Yeezy def has gained growned on the hype/resell game but if we are talking actual units sold, I don't think it's even close. Just walk into a mall and look at people's feet. A majority of the average joe's who don't follow the sneaker game are wearing Nikes or Jordan Brand. Elementary schools are filled with KD, Lebrons and Kyrie's.

To add that BC3 didn't sell out in majority of the stores due to MASS product....

Now look at the resell market value for the DS pair.

Too many new ****** reaching to flip ASAP especially when they cop 1 or 2.

If you're gonna flip you'll need at least 4-5 depending on the shoe and release.

I don't think you realize how many models and colorways of shoes Nike makes and releases every month

Jordan band accounts for rouhgly 10% of Nike's revenues. JB sells roughly $2.7 billion in product, Nike sold a little over $27 billion (including JB), this was for fiscal year 14. Nike doesn't break out sales of retro Jordan's. Source Nike's 10K report from their investor page. 10% is a fairly significant amount. While they don't break out footwear and apparel for JB, overall for Nike footwear accounts for over 60% of all sales.

You can google Jordan brand and find numerous comments from Nike execs including their CEO on sales of JB.

Went into my Local Home Depot and it was a whole store full of Aquas. Lol! Mainly employees tho. I might let mines sit in the box until next summer.

A lot of people buy Jordan brand apparel and Jordan Brand sneakers. Can't tell you how many I've seen with dub zero's or those Jordan Brand Trueflights.

They make a profit on every item they sell whether at retail or on sale. Hats, shirts, sweaters, etc...

Happy to buy mine a day later at the local PX for $151!
