Aqua 8s Black Friday 2015

So i just got back from HOH to exchange my MTM 7s for the aquas (with receipt in hand) and can u believe their manager had the nerve to tell me i couldn't exchange them for at least three weeks because its their "policy" on new releases. Lol...so i told them to show me where it states this new policy on my receipt or on their website and when she couldn't do it, i began to force the issue and asked the manager to explain her logic for not allowing me to do an even exchange especially when i had the receipt. Meanwhile other retail stores allow exchanges all day long when u have receipt. Those people at HOH crack me up man. They must think we are idiots. Just because they won't be making money off me because its an exchange instead of a purchase, they try to prevent me from doing the transaction and say it's "policy." Lol

At the same time, she tells me the only way they can exchange the item is if they credit back my card as a return and then i have to run my card again to purchase the 8s! I was like wtf that's the same thing as an even exchange so why not just run it as a straight exchange instead of going thru all the bs hassle of crediting my card and then charging it again! But of course, they want to make it look like i purchased something so it looks good for their numbers and end of day reporting. Lol.

So after ten minutes of the manager explaining their "policy" to me, I walk out the store with my pair of Aqua 8s, straight up even exchange on the new receipt. I swear these retail stores are so full of it sometimes.

Doubt it has to do with making numbers. Stores measure gross and net sales, people return stuff, it's expected. Sounds like they wanted to give you the run around, or thought you were trying to beat them. Sometime,s you just run into employees or managers acting silly.

Nah not even. I ended up getting a pair off swoosh, and then when I told her she was like "wth, i tried to surprise you and ordered them for you" and she showed me the email confirmation from Finishline that she ordered em earlier in the AM.
Oh **** my bad dude. Man you should have let your girl treat you to new kicks that's a keeper. Well that could have been a double up pair.

Haha man she completely surprised me. I had no clue. she was pissed that I ordered em without telling her cause she had already ordered them and wanted to surprise me lmao... I just hinted at maroons like "you can surprise me with these" Hahahaha

Yeah for sure bro....it probably wasn't about overall numbers but i do know that district managers look at the total number of "purchases," "exchanges" and "returns" per store in order to trend and determine allocation or run inventory controls. Im almost positive the manager was steering me towards doing the transaction as aa purchase so that her report would show that my specific pair was bought as opposed to exchanged on the official transaction register. Plus it didnt make sense to ring the martians as a "return" item and credit my account because my credit card company would take at least two weeks to make my funds available, and on top of that swipe the same card to purchase the aquas.

You're absolutely right. Lady was trying to give me the run around. A real company policy has no grey area - it should be black and white and fully disclosed either on the receipt or on the website.

When were the MTM 7's bought? I though FTL stores would only take things back in 30 days following the purchase .

A picture of the Aqua 8s I took in FinishLine (Charleston), they were light weight and had a nice feel to them.  I sent the same picture to my potential girlfriend and said she liked them.  They funny thing is she's a girly girl

^ This reminds me of what I went through yesterday. I wanted to return my pair at Foot Locker (got another pair gifted) and they gave me the stupid runaround about returning. Apparently, same day returns are against policy, because they "mess with inventory". Possibly one of the dumbest excuses I've ever heard. Me approaching a manager made matters worse, because dude was hella dismissive; he spent more time trying to duck me than solving the issue. 99% sure I'm never copping from Foot Locker again.

Well y'all here it goes. Had to cop for the family. Last pair we all got together was the Bordeaux 7's. Finally finished my OG 8's color way set I always had 2 outta 3 whether it was playoffs and Aquas or playoffs and Bunny's I never had them all together for some odd reason.

Sorry for all the pics but it's a great time of year to cop kicks for the family. Also a bonus which just shoes the quality that JB went to put in this shoe which was to put the OG insole inside the infant sneaker.
View media item 1806844Got the All star kicks from 91', 92', and 93' finally as well which reminds me I need to UNDS my infrared 6's soon they got dust on the bottom from sitting on display in my closet this last year.

You were bashing this retro from the jump once you saw the grey material :\ now you came back to complain some more

I've owned two pairs of the 2007s n still would put these ahead of those. You want to talk about durability but the 2007s crack horribly

"There's is a reason these are sitting" the 8 model were never popular to begin with... 2007s sat as well. The Bugs Bunny, Suns n Playoff all sat in 2013. Btw the Chromes are going to sit as well :rolleyes

This man knows whats up. Repped.

Side note i knew id regret selling my suns 8s...but honestly just checked the bay and they can be had for the low. So maybe it was a good thing I sold them I can always recop

Same Here smh but hopefully we score pairs for under 200

That's what it says on the back of the receipt. But ive returned and exchanged shoes at footlocker well past 30 days for decades so long as the shoes were ds and i had the receipt. I bought the martians in july about a week after they dropped.

This is why i was so upset at the manager for trying to tell me they had this post-30 day no exchange with receipt policy in effect when nothing of sorts is printed on the receipt.

I just exchanged a pair of ds chicago 1.5s i bought in july for Bred 1.5s at Shiekh Shoes (with receipt of course) and they did it happily no questions asked
