Cliches, Sayings, or Inspirational Phrases that You Hate

"If I can change one persons life then I've done my job"

*****? I HATE that saying. Ex. Teachers say this dumb ****. So you helped one kid out.
How about the 60 other students? They just get left in the dust? SMH

"TREMENDOUS"

I swear sports dudes say that word every other ******* word. It's the thing to say when they don't know what to say. :x

 what? Players or fans? I hardly see this used by either.

What's become cliché is prefacing the cliché
by saying "this is so cliché, but..." Heck, you're already going down that route, at least own it and say it with some conviction.

When people sneeze. "Bless you."
omg this burns me up, then i gotta say "thank you". forcing me to say thank you after i just sneezed as not to look like a scumbag.

dont bless me, im not thankful. i sneeze plenty of times by myself im fine. it doesnt make sense to bless me. bless my farts too? im not fond of social settings & interactions.

I think saying "bless you" after someone sneezing comes from the rumor(?) That your heart stops beating for that second.

Anchors, commentators, radio guys (especially former players) and coaches and players after games. Just listen for the word during the Super Bowl.

watch the NBA draft for the last few years and let Jay Bilas enrage you after every pick

Actually started way back when during the bubonic plague. They used a lot of prayer, and because sneezing was one of the early symptoms of the plague, they believed it helped stop spread the disease.

Also, more commonly known, is the belief that when you sneeze, you lose/open up your soul giving a way for bad spirits to come in. Blessing someone counteracts that.

I don't believe any of this btw...

Prepare for the worst, and hope for the best.

This is how you should live life, bruh.

Of you're not preparing for the worst you'll be let down a lot.

I totally get what you saying, but he has a point as well.  You can't go through every life situation preparing yourself for a negative outcome or worst case scenario outcome.  That would be a miserable existence.  Of course you're going to take your L's and have your rainy days, and you should be prepared for that, but it's unrealistic to expect the worst for all scenarios and unproductive to exert the energy/stress preparing for them.  Just gotta be realistic about certain things.  That's just me though.  To each their own.

"Only god can judge me" as got to be the most annoying, cliche, meaningless saying ever. Especially when its usually said by the most immoral people that you know.
