Bruh, I dont think im ever getting married

You dudes married women when you were barely old enough to drink, it didn't work out and now no one should get married?

#ntlogic

I say this with all sincerity, if you're married, I wish you a long and successful marriage. If you're not married, I hope you find that special someone. YOU, just you. Because all of the other people getting divorced are scumbag lowlife idiots who got married too young (barely able to drink legally) and are manboys who roam haphazardly through life and occasionally make a good decision.

In America, there is one divorce approximately every 36 seconds*. That's nearly 2,400 divorces per day, 16,800 divorces per week and 876,000 divorces a year.

Seventy-nine point six percent of custodial mothers receive a support award, while only 29.6 percent of custodial fathers receive a support award.

Forty-six point nine percent of non-custodial mothers totally default on support, while only 26.9 percent of non-custodial fathers totally default on support.

Seventy-five percent of children with divorced parents live with their mother.

Number of marriages: 2,118,000
Marriage rate: 6.8 per 1,000 total population
Divorce rate: 3.6 per 1,000 population (44 reporting States and D.C.)

Are there ways to be married without all the legality?? Like some hippy ceremony type of deal.

Of the one's i've seen fail though, pretty much all of them, one or both were young when they got married. We can't pretend like that doesn't hold some credence.

i know a dude who is worth over 1-2 billion and his flock of women have no qualms about time-sharing his D.

I think there is a certain monetary threshold that can be reached where women can look the other way when it comes to being in a "harem."

It's funny how if you're poor and cheat, you're seen as a bad person but when you're worth serious $$$ chicks subliminally know there is plenty to go around and don't have the instinct to "defend" their financial security from their competitors i.e. other women.

Just my two cents...

I've been married for over 2 years now..it obivlsuly has its ups and downs but overall I'm happy.

Would never get married again tho if this doesn't work out for whatever reason.

See...

Care to provide some reasons? If at all possible...

You have kids? That's a a huge dillema when it comes to Seperating. The thought of another man raising my seeds makes me sick.
Can't knock those that stay unmarried. Time is scarce these days and having a family/marriage takes a huge toll on self time.

Good convo in here.

Marriage should be contract that gets renewed every X amount of years.
Someone please make temporary marriage a reality

1 year contracts

3 year contracts

5 year contracts

with the longest being a 7.5 year contract.

map out your goals. see if they match. sign accordingly.

I'm trynna lease a dime and get that low APR financing for qualified buyers.

Mexico city was considering marriage licenses that would expire after 2-years...no idea where the proposal went, but great idea on their part

I am all for marriage contracts.

I'm not sure if it will ever come to fruition though due to all of the money that is made during the divorce process.

How does that affect what happens if the contract isn't renewed? And if there are now kids for that matter?

You already plan on being bitter and scorned if this fails?

Quotes ain't working for whatever reason

georgescorewell georgescorewell idk if its me bieng selfish or what but marriage just isn't for me. I got married before I was 100% ready to. I found someone great and knew she wouldnt wait forever.

Certain things about it annoy me.
Im a introvert so I don't like to have to always consider another person. Sometimes I just wanna get up and do whatever I feel like doing that day.
Don't know if that makes sense or not.

wayniac211 wayniac211 no kids.
My wife's sister has a 8 year old who's currently being raised by her other sister.
Don't know how her and the father deal with him calling other ppl mom and dad.
I would probly go berserk

Lol nah. I'm not that type of person. We've been together for 7 years now. And right before that I was with some one else for over a year. Bieng single would be a breath of fresh air.
I would have time/money to pursue a lot of interests. And just focus on myself

Idk if its cause I watched my mom raise me and my sisters with no father, but being single seems perfectly fine to me.

tbh there's very little incentive for us men to get married in this current age
It's all a status thing

Honestly I'd benefit if I were to marry my daughter's mother right now.  Her income is significantly higher than mine and since I'm a 1099 contractor I don't get benefits and she has great benefits so I'd be able to get the health/dental insurance etc.

I said it the last three times this thread popped up

Raising kids is the ONLY incentive for a man to get married. (and to a lesser extent tax filing)

I'll wait here patiently while someone gives me just ONE other excuse

INB4 someone chimes in with the comforts of being with someone for life (news flash you can do that without getting married)
when you find the right one>>>>>>

this generation too damn soft. shout out to the real fathers and husbands out there making it work even when it gets hard to make it work.

Don't fall in love with the idea of marriage, fall in love with your best friend.

Maybe I'm misinterpreting what you're saying, but are the divorced men in here not real?

Btw, I have my kids 5 days a week and even though I'm not married and am a very involved parent. I don't feel like divorce has changed that.

Do you feel like it's hard to manage your career and handle the kids that much? It's a concern for me since I'm an engineer

nah,  if you real then you don't need to misinterprate anything. Divorce doesn't make one weak or deficient, but there are a lot of dudes who get married with no business being married who tap out at the first sign of trouble. Obviously some situations get out of hand and there is nothing left to but get sepperated.

Especially on the females end, dudes need to wisen up and see the real reason why a chick wants to get married...will she ride it out when you have to switch jobs, wtc those kind of things. Its sad when two people get into the same marriage for totally seperate reasons.
