Fat Tuesday's opens in NYC today...gets closed down today due to brawl

Staten Island isn't all bad. Not far from Manhattan/bk. City environment without all the rats. The guidos are bad but semi avoidable. Italian food is some of the best here.

Better than Westchester, Long Island, Queens, I'll go with the BX too.

You just called Staten Island better than all those places?

Hell nah b
He coulda said queens and bx and gotten away with it. He'd still be wrong but it wouldn't be that bad.

But he had just had to say westchester and long island too. Just delusional

Serious question for NYers, where do you consider the end of the city before it is upstate......

Only business a city cat got upstate is if they're doing something illegal, or going to Woodbury to get fly on a budget

Staten Island native checkin in. West Brighton to be exact. I've long since left NYC. But visit on a regular and I always go back to the Island. It ain so bad there. And last I've heard they're building a ferris wheel by the ferry to get some tourist. That'd be pretty cool.

Staten Island is real peaceful. Somewhere to get away from the nonsense. We used to be up there all the time to visit my great gma before she passed.

The Ferry was the wave.

We can all agree SI is irrelevant.

I only drove thru.
Can't think of anything to do there.
It's just that place that's very inconvenient to get to if you don't drive.

When ever I said I was from america (and I was kinda shook to say I was from the U.S. cause most places hate us overseas) the first guess was always New York. it's not split b. I traveled a lot for pharmaceutical industry as a intern between 08/09-11

Edit: and I said in one of my last post. New York is the image for a foreigner then hollywood actors and dumb blonds not California it self. They don't care about no sf. if it wasn't those 2 it was gun loving rednecks and obese/fat people.

I guarantee I've been overseas more than you and 99% of this board. While I agree about Europeans not knowing much about SF, you must have never gone to or interacted with anyone from Asia to say something like "nobody cares about SF" or the West Coast in general

And most well known city doesn't mean that it's the nicest or most ideal place to live in. For example Paris is nice but there are several cities in the South of France which are a LOT better, just unknown to most American tourists.

New York is cool to me, but I'd only live there if the major California cities and Seattle vanished off the map and I HAD to still live in the US.

I could care less if you traveled more than me. Those are some of the places I traveled too and lived in for 6 weeks a piece. The argument was about what city is the image foreigners think of as the city to represent America and its by far nyc. Maybe you like the slow paced Cali life but I like ny better. Good for both of us. The fact is nyc is the face of the U.S. good or bad. They didn't attack no la on 9-11 cause they dont care about cali except for actors and the Hollywood like.
