I'm bout to get married so just prefacing, but my laaawwwwddddd the amount of fine women at SL :wow: :wow:

Had me :nerd: :nerd: half the game.

All it took was that block on Towns and Mitch knew he had to sign him before someone else did

I'm pumped man. We got some real young talent :nthat:

I think Brown is gonna a be a great spot three for us. Give us the range we've been needing for a long while.

Really wish we'd drop Kelly, Sacre & Jabari.

Really are unnecessary at this point with 15 guys on roster.

Kelly would only get minutes if more than 2 guys get injured from PF.

I'd be fine with Sacre for just depth purposes. But he's unlikely to ever play. So no reason to keep him.

If Swaggy isn't getting traded, when would Jabari play? Answer: never.

Here are some details about Upshaw's deal.

Undrafted C Robert Upshaw agrees to 2-year deal w/ Lakers, league source confirms. Partial guarantee on 1st year, 2nd-year non-guaranteed.

Tarik looked great. Running the floor, getting wide in the paint and pinning townes underneath the rim. He got two or 3 really good fouls on townes doing so. Rebounded and defended pretty solid as well.

Clarkson looked good. Quicker and even more explosive. Jumper still isn't water but he played well enough off the ball and got to the cup and the glass. Had some brain cramps defensively on and off the ball tho

DLo looked great in the open court. He had one no look pass to j6IX on the break that was BANANAS. Pick and roll he was solid as well, Mid range game impressive. He seems to be a GREAT teammate. Keeps the guys involved and motivated. He also plays with a calmness that the other guys kinda feed off of.

Nance.... Seemed a tad bit spooked out there, was all over the place and out of position a lot on defense and the boards. He had a little injury which I hope doesn't prevent him for getting more time on the floor w/ Julius sitting out.

Brown... Played solid defense and hit some open shots. He's a little more athletic than i expected which is great.

Julius was wearing his frustration on his sleeve the whole night. He's packed on the muscle and plays so wild and reckless off the dribble. He dribbles with his head down and bull dozes his way to the cup way too often. Struggled a lot with the double team that the wolves brought over the top of his off shoulder. He may not see many double teams early in the season but he def has to work on that. And he gotta get on the glass man. He wants to handle and push the rock like Chuck then he gotta get on that damn glass man. I expected some rust but with 9 or 10 months to sit back and watch the game I thought he be a bit more prepared from a decision making and intangibles standpoint

I liked Upshaw's performance. He has a lot of length around the rim which we need. He's also a nasty player. Gritty and dirty . Defensively I think he can learn a lot from Roy. He has to get a bit more stronger tho, and work on his post positioning on defense.

Damn. Can we wait for him to get another actual season under his belt?

That's Lakers fans for ya

So should we still be trading most of these pieces to get Boogie on this team or nah?

Starting to think we are just gonna build from within. Assuming we keep hibbert there are really no attractive free agents outside of durant this summer. And even if we did get durant, there's no second max guy that would be necessary, the starting lineup would be set. If we whiff on kd I'm not even sure what plan b is, maybe Harrison barnes. Don't see why they wouldn't just pay clarkson and tarik and call it a day

They still will throw some money. Not as much if it's not KD, but they will likely get depth guys, and leave enough open for a max player in 2017.

But you have KD, Barnes (RFA), MKG (RFA), Batum, Deng, Wilson Chandler.

Now certainly all but one those guys are NOT franchise players, but some are good players to fill out a team, and provide depth going forward.

Technically we could give Hibbert $15mil, Kobe $5mil. And be $4.5mil short of two 30% max deals for say KD & Horford (Have to let Swaggy, Kelly, J. Brown & Black go). Horford would undoubtedly leave some money on the table. Doing all that will never happen, but there are some worthy names out there.

But they have to fill out the team some to get them to playoff caliber, especially if they could use all the cap space, and then retain Clarkson & Black
