I will not allow this negativity stand

Need a head count of who's planning to attend? I'll send PMs later to get the digits to relay info. Shouldn't be an issue as far as capacity on a Tuesday but you never know depending on the party size.

In his case, it's doubtful he improves to even below average given just how awful of a shooter he is. His defense will really need to be top-notch and he'll have to do other things to make up for his lack of shooting like moving without the ball and scoring in transition.

Justin Anderson >

Justin Anderson is nice.

I like RHJ length though (pause)

He's also a decent playmaker and a decent energy guy on top of his defensive capabilities.

He's not a great shooter but I'd still take him if he was available at 27

JP Tokoto at 34 though? [emoji]128527[/emoji]

If he's still available and if the Lakers don't trade the 27 & 34 picks to move up in the 1st round of the draft which they shouldn't do for this guy.

Go ahead and take him in 2nd round with the 34th pick.

If the Lakers take a non-center with the lotto pick, I'm crossing my fingers for Robert Upshaw. Dude is a nut (or at least was in college), but is pretty talented. Might not last until 27 though.

The missed dunk at the end is hilarious

P, if we want anything (RHJ, Anderson, Upshaw) we have to trade up.

I take Anderson over RHJ every day of the week because of shooting. Anderson is a much better shooter, much better offensively, and did it by making tweaks to what he does. So it shows he's cognizant about what he is doing wrong, and willing to work. And while RHJr is clearly the better defender, Anderson has the skills to be a defender, and shows flashes of being a really good defender, but sometimes his effort wanes.

I'd rather draft somebody who has something on one side, and can improve to say somebody who can defend, but the ability to improve offensively is bleak. His inability to hit a 3 point shot will make him one of the easier people to guard. Just give him 2 steps, and give a half hearted contest. But by not having the threat of a 3ball, I can play off an limit any possible way of getting to the hoop.

Just a comparison, not saying the last 2 are on the level of the first 2.
Winslow 6'6.5" (with shoes) 222lbs 6'10.25" wingspan 8'8.5" standing reach
Johnson 6'6.5" (with shoes) 242 lbs 6'11.5" wingspan 8.6" standing reach
Hollins-Jefferson 6'7" (with shoes) 211lbs 7'2" wingspan 8'8" standing reach 32 no step vert 38 max vert
Anderson 6'6.25" (with shoes) 231lbs 6'11.75" wingspan 8'5" standing reach 38 no step vert 43 max vert

Anderson just because he didn't go to that sorry excuse of a school in Arizona.

Yeah, that's something to think about. Do you take the guy that projects to be really good on one end, but likely terrible on the other or the guy that's decent-solid on both ends of the floor?

Oh hey:
The Clippers have interest in Lakers swingman Wes Johnson, according to sources.

It's like the Ronnie Brewer conundrum. And why he got a shot every year. Until they realized it'll never be enough on defense to justify his airball corner 3 offense.

I wouldn't mind Wesley Johnson back as like the 10th, 11th or 12th man, maybe 1.5x the minimum as the ceiling of price. Where he'd be good talent in comparison to most 10th-12th guys. As a starter it was a damn train wreck because he wasn't good enough to be even close to that.

But the Clippers wanting him is HILARIOUS  If they re-sign DeAndre, they have no room to sign anyone. Won't be able to use the mid-level because they were a tax team this season, and Jordan would end up putting them as a luxury tax team. So they will likely have a mini-mid level ($3.1mil) or bi-annual ($1.7mil), and Wes Johnson would take up almost all of the bi-annual if he signs there.

Is RHJ's shot like Michael Kidd-Gilcrist broken?

I'd take the elite-level defense... Live with fixing his J for a couple years. At the 20-something everyone is going to have a major flaw.

If we get #1 and have Towns/Randle who both can and want to step out RHJ wouldn't be too bad for spacing.

If we get a G I'd like to scoop another young big to grow with Randle. Even if its reaching for someone like Dakari. Maybe JP Tokoto/Joe Young with the 2nd rounder if we keep it.

In Doc they trust, already ruined all the groundwork Olshey put in. Lulz

They could've been in on Jeff green or afflalo, but they included their 1st round pick to deal away Dudley.
Doh!

Clarkson named to the all-rookie first team
Da future!
