I'm on the Towns train. Okafor might be more polished but his defense is lacking for a dude that size. Towns is a better shot blocker and way better FT shooter.

RIP TEAM TANK [2013-2015]
IT WAS A GOOD RUN BUT I HOPE IT NEVER HAPPENS AGAIN.

I'M SO HAPPY.

in that highlight mix towns blocks a shot with his face

so you guys want a big man and not a guard to replace kobe? i like justise.

kobe goes we'll be light in the pg, sg, sf positions. but we'll have randle and kat/okafor

sounds like lottery for at least 1 more year less we can sign a FA this summer.

Our Guard will come in 2 years.

his name is Muscle Westbrook.

If we go PG we are light in SG, SF & C. Does it matter at that point?

Go with the best player available. Unless it was a PF.

I can see MIN trading Rubio and drafting Russell, or just drafting Russell and keeping Rubio. They've done some unorthodox things in past drafts.

Part of me wishes we stayed at 4 to pick up Russell/ Winslow because those guys can be crossover superstars in LA like Kobe or Magic. They have the game the look the swag. Big guys traditionally haven't been marketable

I'm thinking we end up with Okafor and Minny goes Towns.

Dieng isn't a great defender, so they'll get towns to pair with wiggins imo. If Dieng was a solid defender then I could see them taking Okafor.

Q: I know nothing's guaranteed, but is Clarkson penciled in as the starter at PG next season alongside Kobe? I saw the Mannix mock PMatic posted with us taking a starting PG type at 27, and the Ford mock picking a SG.

I assume Clarkson has first dibs? Or is this an open competition between JC and whoever else we decide to bring in (pls not Rondo)

Also note, keeping this pick means we get our 2017 pick back as well. :pimp:

2016 goes to Philly next year, we keep 2017, and 2018 goes to the Magic. By then we should be very good, that pick won't hurt.

But 2017 pick will allow us to get another young/cheap piece after our rebuild is complete.

Byron thinks Clarkson is a SG long-term, but maybe things change.

Myself, I would play him at PG because he flashes enough skill and the size-athletic advantage is significant vs playing him at SG.
