Minutes ago: Impromptu Flip Saunders Funkadelic coming up on KFAN Sports Radio 100.3: KFAN.com/listen

Don't know why it's impromptu, or if it's important or relevant to you guys, but thought I'd provide the link and give the heads up anyways.

Flip definitely has seen Towns work out, last week in Thousand Oaks, Ca. Saw Russell work out there same day, too.

Some Flip Saunders quotes from moments ago:

- "We'll bring three guys [wasn't asked to clarify who the three were, but] in here next weekend ... try to see how they understand things on video, get them on the court. It's part of the process. Right now, we're going to see people in their hometowns, around the people they're usually with."

- On who is the most positively gregarious of the top three draft prospects: "Talking to a lot of my college connections, Izzo and all of those people ... Towns. He's an extremely talkative guy."

- "A player that's 19, you have to look and project what he's going to be like in 3-4 years. How much bigger, how much more explosive ... when fully developed, is he a guy who can contain his mobility or is he a guy who's going to continue to put weight on."

- "The only thing I'll say about the two is that they both bring such different qualities to a team, that it's a very unique-type situation. One is dominant inside, one is a multi-dimensional player, can do differnet things ... you're trying to decide who would be the best to blend with your players, and maximize your players who are on the verge of becoming stars in Wiggins."

The last two bullets seemingly insinuates Towns, but these guys lie for a career - the infinitely frustrating disclaimer re: sports and transaction rumors.

He's going to the Knicks.

JR dropped something on a recent podcast (and he's been wrong at times, and very right at times). He said two of the three of these guys will be a Knick: Millsap, Carroll and Monroe.

The Finals have made me look at Draymond totally different.. While I think he's a good player still.. I find there's not much room for him to grow. He seems like a guy that just fits in the Warriors system with those players.

And if we bring him here, and max him out, we'll see regression..

He's playing thru an injury

I know. But even despite that.

He fits with that offense and defense. There's so much fire power at the 1 & 2 with so much three point shooting that it fits him.

On offense he can be a mediocre 3 point shooter if he plays the SF. But he's not stretching out the court. But it's okay because Steph & Klay stretch out the court plenty. And he doesn't need to be a great 3 point shooter, just needs to knock them down on occasion, and when he gets open.

On defense, he's allowed to be the energy guy, because no one else on that roster really is. Iggy is too old to be that guy. Barnes is inconsistent. Curry gets hidden. Klay is a good defensive player, but isn't that smash them in the face kind of guy.

You put him on this Lakers team, and he's the starting SF next to Randle & Okafor or Towns , that court could not be any smaller. So maybe he brings something to the defense with his versatility to guard the 3 & 4 and his energy. But on offense, he'll regress badly.

Drey is great when it comes to making the right passes and defensive rotations in kerrs well thought out system but under Byron he's just going to be an average role player

This is what I said about him a couple months back:

If he goes anywhere else this offseason, it'll end up being eerily similar to the Lance Stephenson situation with the Hornets.
I never have, and never will, believe enough in Draymond to throw anywhere near a max deal at him.
