I HOPE HE CAN BOUNCE LIKE HIS DAD...

That damn last $5mil of the Kobe $25mil is the toughest to deal with.. Because that's the difference between having LaMarcus Aldridge & Wes Matthews or LaMarcus Aldridge & Marco Bellinelli. If Kobe was 2 year / $40mil, would have been all fine and dandy.

Found probably 8-10 trades where we could package up Swaggy & Kelly and save anywhere between $2mil - $6.9mil on the cap.

Hope you get better man, I dealt with 3 herniations and nerve pain for 2 years before I got help. Glad you're actively seeking help and trying to get better man.

Los Angeles Lakers
Round 1:  D'Angelo Russell  (2), Larry Nance, Jr. (27)
Round 2:  Anthony Brown  (34)
Grade: B+

On one hand, I think the Lakers hit a home run on draft night. I never loved theJahlil Okafor  fit there and it was refreshing to see Lakers brass embrace new school and take a point guard over a big. The Lakers have had only one All-Star point guard (Nick Van Exel) since Magic Johnson. Russell has the talent to make many All-Star games. He's a brilliant passer, a very good shooter and has an elite feel for the game. He should be a lure to free agents like LaMarcus Aldridge  and Kevin Love. The Lakers fan base really needed star potential and I think he can deliver. If he was a better athlete, he'd be a can't-miss prospect.

With that said, I still believe that Emmanuel Mudiay has the slight edge as a prospect and that they left the second-best player in the draft, Kristaps Porzingis, on the board at No. 2. One Lakers source admitted they thought Porzinigs had the most upside of anyone in the draft, but they just didn't have the stones to take him. The rest of their draft was interesting. Brown made a lot of sense at No. 34. He's a potentially elite shooter with great size for his position. Nance was more interesting -- a versatile forward with good athleticism and high basketball IQ- - because he might end up duplicating a lot of what Julius Randledoes. With that said, the combination of Russell and Randle gives Lakers fans a bright young foundation to build upon in the future.

@PMatic

What if we are reading this wrong? We assume LMA to us, but what if that isn’t it at all? What if we are the ones that are helping LMA go to the Spurs, by taking Danny Green, and Splitter? :nerd: We take the defensive Center to protect Randle, and the wing 3&D in Green, adding more depth to the roster, over star power. LMA “could” play the 5 next to Randle just fine, but he’s always hated that in Portland. Now he’s going to take less money to play in LA, and play Center full time???? Maybe Mitch knows he can’t get him, but he can help pick parts off the Spurs to help them get him, while building our team up moreso for the future, when the Spurs lose out on Duncan, Manu, Parker, Diaw in a year or so.

Feasible, is it not?

THE TURN in opinion of D'lo :wow: Team RUSSELLMANIA?! I see you.

About 5 regulars wanted him

Soooooo the WORST CASE scenario when it comes to bigs IMO is the resigning of Hill/Davis...... I can dig that for another year.

Best case is LMA or DJ.

Marc aint going nowhere.

Love is the mediocre pick up in this :nerd:

In my defense.. I wanted Okafor over Russell think it's still a bad idea to choose Russell over the elite scoring big that is still there.

But I did say, if we were one pick later.. And Towns & Okafor are off the board.. I'd be elated. Said it before, during and after the draft.

I want y'all to be estactic with this kid. He's gonna be it. :pimp: :pimp:

Amin Ellhassin said something that I really feel... The Lakers adapted. They see the change and changed :wow:

Depending on how Julius looks, I wouldn't mind taking DJ over LA if it frees up some money for another signing. Say, a Danny Green.

Like I said before the process... I wanted Russell to go in to his workout and KILL IT and make the Lakers pick him. Apparently he did with his 2nd workout...

Go back and watch that video of Okafor and try not to cringe... its impossible.

You're gonna be really happy with a Russell, Clarkson, and Randle fast break :pimp:
