when it really comes down to it, the #2 pick is the best offer they will get 

 what vivek wants doesnt matter anymore. 

cousins doesnt want to be in SAC anymore period, that relationship has soured ( look at his tweets)

if DMC stays, and Karl is eventually let go or quits...it doesnt change the fact that DMC is disgruntled playing there and will eventually have to be traded or be lost for nothing. it will play out like the DH situation = good ( Orlando) or bad ( Lakers)
