Yep

Duncan has more MVPs and better stats

Currently contributing to a championship contender, I might add.

"But, but... system. But, coach. But, contract."

The player is partly responsible for their contract. The system Timmy is in can't be credited to him, but being willing to take a lesser role so the championship success has a possibility to continue, that willingness is on him. And the fact that the coach has remained all this time, if Timmy were a diva, I'm not saying Pop would have definitely left, but it's reasonable to think so.

Hey man someone here has to raise the level of discourse beyond vapid, semi-coherent barbershop ramblings.

Where are the people who were saying the thunder should trade Westbrook for rondo...

[seamanup] both guys are at home watching the playoffs [/seamanup]
i had Westbrook as the best pg in the league but bumped him down to third behind cp and curry after he couldn't even lead his team to the playoffs

40 point trippple doubles are an entertaining waste of energy when your team doesn't win the game

Apparently you missed when NTer mrlbj explained that LeBron on his worst day is a better basketball player than MJ

I missed that. LeBron hasn't reached Kobes level yet. So it's impossible for him to have a better resume than Jordan.

6 for 6 no game 7s > 2 for 5 with one loss by sweep and another by the largest margin in Finals history. Case closed

Man lets be real

Lebron is on the same level as Kobe

It's close but I'd have to give it to Kobe. I can't say Lebron is on the same level or better.
Kobe really doesn't have anything Lebron doesn't have in terms of credintals
Comparing game not credentials.

In his prime Kobe was a damn good defender but so is Lebron. I give Lebron the edge but Kobe was no slouch.(Close)

Lebron is the better passer but he actually tries. We've seen Kobe when he tries and he's not bad himself.(Kinda close)

Lebron is clearly the better rebounder but that's a given since he's larger and stronger than Kobe.(Clear)

So now we come to the most important part of an individuals game, scoring. Kobe is the clear winner here.(Clear)

Mental toughness: Kobe(Clear), Clutchness: Kobe(Clear), Drive: Kobe(Clear) and if we compare credentials: 5 > 2(Clear)

Like I said, it's close but I can't give it to Lebron. It's definitely debatable though.
You put Carmelo Anthony on those Heat teams and they don't miss a beat.
Ehhhhhhhh
Where are the people who were saying the thunder should trade Westbrook for rondo...
Scott Brooks for Rondo would've been better.
Lebron ain't top 10 all time?

Yikes.
Who said that?

You don't have to like the guy. I don't particularly like him, but game is undeniable. He's definitely top 10 all time.

It doesn't even make any sense to argue with people who think LeBron isn't in the convo as one of the greatest players ever.

No players has won  a championship by themselves alone. Duncan's last finals MVP was in 2005, which means he had some talented guys around him during their run. Not to mention the fact that they slay teams because their organization is smart enough to keep the main core together, while adding players who will contribute accordingly. The whole idea of "help" is just brainwash ESPN came up with when LeBron played alongside janitors before leaving Cleveland.

I'm not saying that to discredit Duncan, or to put him in the same exact level as LeBron. At the end of the day Duncan plays alongside one of the (if not, THE) greatest NBA coaches ever, as well as two of the best International players the sport has seen. LeBron James is undeniably one of the most prolyfic, and polarizing players we have had the privilege of critiquing, as well as viewing, for the past 12 years. I get if you don't like the guy, it's a sport. But to completely denounce what he's accomplish as if was easy for him is nonsense.

Lebron can't even win a third championship when he gets a free trip to the finals every year because he plays in the east and he only has two championships

Not even top 10 all time worthy

Even Duncan would have at least 7 championships if he played in the east

I'm starting to feel that way..

He should have three rings from playing with the Heat...

You can't be top ten of all time to me if JJ Barea is pushing you out the post.

:smh:this ***** had DWade in his prime that year and couldn't get it done?!

Saying Kobe > LeBron isn't slander and doesn't mean I don't recognize LeBrons greatness. Just for the record.

You put Carmelo Anthony on those Heat teams and they don't miss a beat.

i'll defend Melo till the end but idk about this one.

LeBron was essentially the PG on those teams & Melo isn't anywhere near the playmaker LeBron is. Also, the Heat played an uptempo, fastbreak game & Melo likes to play in the halfcourt.

I'm sure they would've been a great team, but "not missing a beat" is a stretch.

Tim Duncan is the best 4 and best player of his generation.

Given how great two way bigs impact the game more than guards I don't see how it's debatable

The only argument against Bron is the 2011 Finals, he dominated in the playoffs the last 3 years in Miami and was the only reason they even made it to the Finals last year.

If you wanna fault him for not beating a Spurs team that played the best Finals in NBA history, you're just an idiot and should take a shot of bleach.
