Ketchup, to me, HAS to be mixed w/ another condiment. I don't like it by itself. It's fantastic w/ sriracha.

If you have a food processor it takes under a few minutes. You just put the egg yolks and some Dijon mustard in it turn it on a minute let it whip the eggs then SLOWLY pour in your oil at first. It will probably be really thick. Then just thin it out with water.mangudai954 I make my own at work but not far from miracle whip. I like putting a bunch of hot sauce in so its not so oily tasting and more zip.
How long does it keep when its made from scratch?

mayonnaise is the devil.
wont eat it on anything. I also, hate hearing that someone has mixed it into something I've eaten already.
the look, the smell, the meer thought of it makes me gag.
its an absolutely horrid creation and needs to be done away with.
mustard is pretty trash too but mayo is the king.
if it aint bbq, it aint touchin my plate.

I think 4 egg yolks and maybe like a pint of oil. Don't use olive oil unless you want your mayo to taste like olive oil. It's good but not what people expect with mayo. Canola works good. It's a light flavored oil.

Yeah that's a lot. You could probably do a cup. It lasts like a week. The more eggs the easier it is to emulsify. You can always hit it with some water until it's thin enough. It's just trial and error really.

Like 5 days. It's really not worth making it for your house besides the fact you learn how to make it if you want I guess.
